Taehyung can describe pain in so many words. All his life spent in his human form had been in pain, a never ending cycle of torture. Though, nothing compared to the pain he had felt when he lost his mother, the woman who sacrificed herself to save him.

That pain was one Taehyung never forgot. It was ingraved in his mind, the last words of his mother has stuck with him for 10 years and he is damn sure he will never forget it.

He had always thought nothing would ever compare to that pain, until he saw his mate, his beloved Jungkookie throw up blood, then fall down lifelessly on the ground.

This pain, seeing his mate nearly lifeless, was even more devastating because it contained fear. Fear of losing the one he loved.

He sat quietly on the side of the room, looking at his mate who was laid in bed, the pack doctor and nurses frantically trying to figure out what was wrong.

Jungkook's hyungs and his parents were waiting outside, scared out of their mind. While usually no one was allowed in the room while the doctors worked, no one could stop the trueblood who had growled at anyone who tried to take him out. He had nearly bitten off the hand of the pack doctor who had dared to order him out. So, in short the trueblood had stayed in the room with his mate while the doctors tried to save Jungkook and figure out what was wrong in the first place.

Namjoon couldn't help but think back to all the events leading up to this, trying to figure out if they missed something.

24 hours ago ( Before Jungkook's health went downhill)

It has been over a month since the rogue attack. Things were calm. Too calm. No threats. No attacks. And no boundary breach.

Jungkook had a gut feeling that this was just the calm before the storm. His father and the hyungs were no different.

Which is why everyone was worried now because Jungkook had to travel to the city with Namjoon and Yoongi hyung to discuss a peace treaty with one of their very close friend, the head alpha of Crescent Moon Pack, Alpha Chanyeol. During a time like this where pack wars were always a looming threat, all they could rely on were allied packs who can fight alongside them. So far, they had 3 packs who had stepped forward and offered their support, all of who were friends with Jungkook's father.

This would be the fourth pack in support of them and thus, it was vital that this peace treaty was a definite success. They kind of already had a peace treaty with Alpha Chanyeol. The term 'peace treaty' was just used as a means to hide the actual reason for why they were meeting.

Apparently Alpha Chanyeol had some very important information regarding the rogue attack that he could not disclose via the phone or email, in the fear that it may be traced or tracked.

Thus the reason for this meeting.

Jungkook had left that morning with Namjoon and Yoongi, along with a few of the pack warriors who were his good friends: Yugyoem, Bambam and Jinyoung. They couldn't take any risks with safety, knowing fully well that Jungkook could be a target as he was the mate of the trueblood.

Since the meeting was in the city, the trueblood could not go. Taehyung was not happy at all. He wanted to just shift into his human form and leave with Jungkook but that would mean confirming the rumors, which would only bring more trouble.

The meeting was held at one of the high end hotels, and Alpha Chanyeol was already there with his mate, Baekhyun and a few of his pack warriors.

The information that Alpha Chanyeol had was very interesting. He had managed to capture a rogue who had spilled that some of them were approached by a witch who had promised them power for a small task, to capture and bring the trueblood from Shaded Moon pack. The witch had given the rogues a potion which was supposed to make them stronger, though instead it had changed the way the rogues worked. It was like they were being controlled by someone else.

Upon further enquiry, Alpha Chanyeol had found out that the Witch was known as Yoona, and she was a part of the BloodLust Pack.

Now this is where it got interesting. The BloodLust pack was known to be the deadliest pack out there. It was led by Alpha Kim Kang, who was ruthless, unforgiving and extremely cruel. The pack itself was full of cruel and unforgiving wolves.

The pack was known to be the only pack who had ever gone against the werewolf council. This pack practiced the art of bloodlust ignition. To ignite one's own bloodlust, a wolf has to train relentlessly and learn how to give up full control. Their wolves are fully feral, meaning the wolf doesn't know from right or wrong. Simply put, the wolf side is rogue while the human side lacks humanity. Any pack that has dared to go against the BloodLust pack had met an unfortunate fate, with whole packs being destroyed overnight.

Just the fact that the Bloodlust pack wanted his mate was enough to make Jungkook's blood run cold. He knew that no matter how much support they get, they were no match for the Bloodlust pack.

There was a reason why wolves were killed when they entered bloodlust. It was because they became killing machines. They won't see who they are killing, whether it was a child or an omega, they would just kill until their bloodlust was satisfied. Atleast that was how a normal bloodlust worked.

The members of Bloodlust pack though, were trained in controlling their bloodlust and igniting it. Which made them even more dangerous.

Jungkook was worried now. How will he protect his mate when and if bloodlust pack attacks. He needed a plan and there wasn't much time left.

As they were preparing to return back, they opted to have lunch in a nearby ramen place. They all ate together and made sure to keep an eye out for trouble. After which they returned home.

The only time that Jungkook was left alone was when he went to the washroom and when he had helped an old lady who had fallen down. The kind lady had given Jungkook a cinnamon roll as a token of appreciation.

When they arrived back, Namjoon informed the head alpha about what they had found. They were just discussing all this when suddenly, Jungkook started coughing, blood splattered over the table as he stood up to ran to the bathroom. He had just taken two steps when he felt darkness cover his eyes and his body shut down.

Namjoon heard the relentless coughing, and panicked when he saw blood. He saw Jungkook stand up, unusually pale, until Jungkook fell straight on the floor with a loud thud.

The trueblood was alarmed with what had happened, fully alert and not letting anyone come near his mate.

It was Jimin who had calmed the trueblood down, telling him that they needed to get Jungkook to the pack clinic.

Right now, they were waiting for the results of why Jungkook's body was not responding at all.

Pack Introduction

Bloodlust Pack
Is known as the deadliest pack. Led by Kim Kang who is a sadistic and power-hungry alpha. The bloodlust pack warriors are trained ruthlessly from the time they can shift. They are trained to ignite bloodlust inorder to become killing machines. The bloodlust pack doesn't like weak wolves, thus omegas are usually treated very badly, often used as slaves or breeders.

*Alpha Kim Kang will be properly introduced later on in the story.

*Bloodlust- a state of mind where the wolf overpowers all senses and the urge to kill is eminent. The wolves become berserk and out of control, which leads to them killing without any remorse. Bloodlust is highly frowned upon, as it is something that other packs do not agree with. Thus, packs often tend to kill the wolf which has ignited their bloodlust as a means to save others.
