Hindi ako makagalaw habang kaharap ang kapatid ko na nanlilisik ang mga mata habang nakatingin sa aming dalawa.
"Ate! What's happening? Why are you with that bullshit?!" Kenneth was yelling that everyone around the mall was starting to look at us. Pabalik balik ang tingin niya sa akin at kay Lander.
"Kenneth, let's talk about this outside," mahinang saad ko. I knew what anger could do to my brother.
"No. Fuck, Ate!" Umiiling na saad nito. "Don't tell me he's your boyfriend?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong nito.
I gulped hard before I looked at him. This was basically my fault. I knew I was already doomed because I lied to him.
"Kenneth, you're mad. Pag-usapan natin nang maayos sa labas."
Kenneth was still standing there, furiously looking at my boyfriend.
"You're right. I'm her boyfriend," Lander said.
Napatingin ako sa kanya. "Lander."
"What? It's the right time that he has to know."
"Putangina mo!"
I shrieked when Kenneth threw Lander a punch.
"How dare you use my sister to get even to me?!"
The security guards were alarmed and went near towards us to stop the situation from elevating.
"Ano ba, Kenneth! Tama na 'yan!"
Lander stood up, wiping out the blood from the corner of his mouth.
"You don't need to punch him like that!"
"Tangina. How could you lie and betray me, Ate? You know that I fucking hate that guy!"
"Kenneth!"
"What did I even do to you, huh? Are you that insecure of me that's why you grew hatred of me?" Lander turned to my brother.
"Tangina mo. Wala akong pakialam sa'yong hayop ka," Kenneth angrily muttered. He took my hand.
"Lumayo ka sa kanya, Ate." His voice was authoritative. Hinigit niya ako hanggang sa mapunta kami sa parking area.
"Talagang sumunod ka pa," galit niya pa ring asik kay Lander na sumunod sa amin.
"You're hurting her." I turned to Lander who was worried of me. "She doesn't deserve that. Ako na lang saktan mo." He looked at my brother.
"Umuwi ka na, Lander," sabi ko sa kanya.
He shook his head. "No. I want to talk to him."
"Now is not the right time. Please just go," giit ko.
"Call me later," he said. "You're not going to break up with me, right?"
"I won't." I assured him. He stared at me for a second then he looked back at Kenneth.
"Bangasan ko pa 'yang mukha mo, gago." Kenneth threw a dagger look on Lander but my boyfriend kept mum. Lander breathed and slowly walked away. This was why I was thankful to Lander for being the mature one. He didn't punch Kenneth back even if he wanted to.
"What the hell, Kenneth? Sumosobra ka na!"
"Ikaw ang sumusobra!"
"I'm older than you!"
"Really? Old enough to make stupid decision?" Maanghang niyang sabi.
"I can't believe that you would go this low. Hindi ka na bata para makipagsuntukan. Grow up!" Inis kong sabi saka sumakay sa kotse niya.
