Our team was leading. Everyone was focused on the game. Lamang kami ng anim na puntos. The ball swiftly moved from one player to the next. They were all so focused the game, most especially my brother who were included in the first five.
Malapit na matapos ang second quarter and that was it, we heard the buzzer and it ended. We were still ahead with four point mark.
Napahiyaw ako. Umalingawngaw ang sigawan sa loob ng court.
Today was my brother's game. Konti na lang makakapasok na sila sa semi finals.
Magaling din naman ang kalaban nila. May ibubuga naman but our team really did better. I heard that they trained so hard. My brother barely comes in to our house. Minsan ko na lang siya makita these past few days.
"Galing talaga," Arvee commented. She was free today so she finally watched the game with us.
"Go guys!" Angela cheered them. For sure hindi naman nila maririnig but we really wanted to yell to support them.
Nakangisi naman si Neo sa tabi ko. He looked at me. "Told you, they're gonna win."
I smiled. "Of course they will."
Napadako ang tingin ko sa kapatid ko at sa mga ka-team mates nito. Abalang abala sila sa pakikinig sa coach nila. Kahit naman expected na mananalo, we really couldn't tell. Any moment the opponent might win.
I took that moment to look at his other team mates. Calvin as I've said was the bulky one. Magaling din talaga ito sa court tsaka mabilis. Si Ben naman ay ganoon din. Matangkad ito, makisig at mahusay. The other two, Geo and Stanley were also good.
I shouted at the top of my lungs when the game started again.
Patapos na ang second half so it's no doubt that our team would win. Lumingon si Kenneth sa mga fans niya at kumaway.
"Yes!" Angela exclaimed.
I enjoyed watching the game.
Nang matapos ay excited din kaming bumaba para salubungin sila. They were busy drinking their waters. May mga twalya pang nasa likod nito. Nang makita ako ni Kenneth ay lumapit siya sa akin.
"Congrats!" I told him with a wide smile.
"See, sabi ko sa'yo. Mananalo kami," pagyayabang niya pa.
"Oo na. Magaling naman talaga kayo."
"Ako pa ba, Ate?" He grinned.
"Yo! Galing mo talaga, bro!" Christoff went near to us and they fist bumped.
"S'yempre." Ngisi pa ni Kenneth.
"Congrats!" Sabay na sabi ni Arvee at Angela.
"Konting push na lang, semi finals na," ani Angela.
"Makakapasok 'yan. Sure," said Christoff.
"Tiwal lang kayo sa akin," Kenneth said confidently.
"Congrats again, Ken." Neo spoke.
"Thanks, man," ani Kenneth. Narinig naman namin na tinatawag na siya ng mga kasama niya kaya nagsabi na siya na mauuna na siya.
"Wag, bata ka pa," natatawang sambit ni Christoff.
"Corny mo, dude," pang-aasar ni Angela.
"Hanggang dito lang 'yung usapan oh." Umakto pa siyang may hinaharangan kay Angela.
Angela snorted. "Whatever."
Natawa si Kenneth. "Dito na po ako," aniya tsaka tuluyan nang umalis.
"LQ?" Arvee told them, grinning.
