"Ready ka na later?" Angela asked. She's my cousin and also my best friend. She's the same age as me so we really got along ever since we were kids.
"Yes," I answered.
"Nice." She smiled before she walked back. She had already dressed up on her usual attire. She was wearing her favorite oversized denim jacket and ripped pants paired with her ankle boots. Her hair was tied in a bun. She looked pretty. She was actually the most excited one. When we heard my younger brother, Kenneth was playing the game in this season, we immediately bought tickets. And this would be my last year as a college student so by next year I would be starting working. Might as well use this opportunity to enjoy my remaining days.
I could barely control my excitement. I was also a bit nervous since my brother would be playing against Reevly International School. That must be why we expected it would be a tough game, considering how my brother hated the team captain.
Everyone was looking forward to the heated game of both star players. I just simply wore a plain white shirt, a pair of white sneakers and pants. I also brought my favorite tote bag with me.
"Your outfit sucks." Angela looked at me from head to toe.
"What's wrong with this?"
"You should dress up prettier, we're going to meet players. We need to have a good impression," she stated.
"I don't dress up for others." I countered.
"Yeah, that's why you haven't had boyfriend ever since."
I raised my brow. "Whatever."
She laughed. "Okay na nga 'yan. Tara na."
When we arrived in the stadium, we were surprised by how big the crowd was. Ramdam na agad namin ang tension at excitement.
Angela was also shocked beside me. "Ang dami. Grabe," she commented.
"It's a game between long time rivals, A. Most people have betted for it, for sure."
She nodded. "Yeah right."
We were seated in the middle. I haven't seen my brother since a while ago. Nag-text na lang siya sa 'kin na nandito na raw siya. First year pa lang ang kapatid ko pero nakuha niya kaagad ang titulong season's favorite star player. That's why he constanly bragged about it most of the times. My brother surely has the skills. Most of the people who were watching the live were wearing blue and red. That was to support the both teams. I on the other hand didn't bother wearing one. Angela was wearing blue. She glared at me because my shirt wasn't the color she asked me to wear since yesterday. The truth was, nakalimutan ko talaga. When I dressed up white, hindi ko na naisipan pang bumalik pa para magpalit.
"Who are you rooting?" I asked her beside me.
"Of course, our team. Tinatanong pa ba 'yan?"
I smirked. "Hindi si Lander?"
"Well siya rin."
I laughed. "Traydor."
"He's young but look at him. He's hot."
She kept on bugging me about Lander. He was the star player of the opposite team. I heard about him several times I couldn't even count. His name was always lurking around the campus like a shadow. I never met him but based from what I heard, he plays really well. I had seen photos of him but I never saw him in person. Honestly, sobrang na-cu-curious ako tungkol sa kanya but I didn't fish for more information about him. My brother would surely throw me a fit if he found out. He hated that guy. And for some reason, I also had developed hate for him, for someone I never had an interaction with. For sure, may dahilan naman ang kapatid ko dahil doon. Hindi lang naman sila magka-away dahil pareho silang magkaiba ng team. Kenneth knows sportsmanship. Bata pa lamang ito ay nasaksihan ko na itong maglaro. But when it comes to Lander, he would easily get mad.
