Hello Everyone, My name is Tama, an immortal tabby cat.
I've had many masters in my lifetime, but never as unique and peculiar as the humans I now proudly call as my masters. So how did I become the beloved cat mascot of the Legends of tomorrow you ask? Well, where to begin?
The year was 1641 in a place that you humans called Japan. I was watching over a family of 2, Masako and her father, Ichiro. Masako's mother, Sakura, had been my most recent master. Her last wish was for her daughter to be able to find happiness, thus I won't be able to leave until her will is fulfilled.
One day, Masako came home with a strange gaijin who called himself Nate. He was dressed in strange clothings and caked in dirt. He spoke our language yet his speech was odd. Masako drew him a bath and helped him bathe.
Once Masako finished bathing the man, she left him a spare Yukata for him to change into. Once Masako left, I walked up to him, sniffing his hands. He smiled and patted my head, "Hello little guy" he greets. I flicked my ears and meowed, greeting the man.
"Masako-san, a word please " A voice came through the door. Oh no, the Shogun's men are here, "Please come outside"
I sat down in the corner as I listened to the Shogun's men talk to Masako, Inquiring about having found foreigners in the area.
Nate's expression grew worried, He moved to walk out and reveal himself. I tried to block his path with my body, yet he stepped over me. What is this gaijin doing? He is going to get Masako in trouble.
I watched helplessly as he provoked the Shogun's men, insulting them and stating that Masako and the shogun's wedding was canceled. I shook my head as the samurai brought his katana down on him, piercing his stomach. "We will return tomorrow to take you to the castle. I trust there will be no more..." The samurai glazed at Nate "Surprises". He threw the foreigner one last glare before leaving.
I sat beside the reckless man's head as Masako's father inspected him. "The sword did not cut any vital organs, but the blood loss..." Ichiro said. "Tell me about it" Nate quipped as he gasped for air, clearly in pain.
"What were you thinking?" Masako hissed.
"I didn't mean to cause you any more trouble. I was just trying to help"
"No one can help me," Masako sighs, pressing her palm to his wound. "We have more in common.." He whispers before fainting from blood loss. I laid beside him as Masako called for his name, She sighed left to fetch bandages for his wound.
By the time Masako came back, Nate had regained consciousness. They conversed about Nate's strange disease as Masako bandaged his wound. Suddenly their conversation trailed off and the strange human made a move to kiss Masako, Oh no no you will not be doing that strange man. I raised my paw to smack him- "Nate, you're alive"
Four people entered the hut, 2 women and 2 men. "Masako, these are uh, my friends i was telling you about. Sara, Ray, Mick and...Amaya" Nate said, introducing the new humans.
"Hajimemaste" Masako greeted them and the humans exchanged pleasantries, but the newcomers seemed hasty to leave. "Nate, Let's go," The one named Sara said.
