Chapter 5

"Are you ready?" Nico came to me after discussing my tour to the out world with Hades. I wanted to ask him what they were discussing about it so long as they took a whole day for it! Also, they didn't let me hear it too...

I nodded my head to say that I'm ready. "So, how do we go the out world, to the human world? Is there any transporting system here?"

Nico laughed. "Well, it's taking too much time. I'm going to take you quickly. Just hold my hand tightly. Don't even think to lighten my hand" he warned me.

I shook my head and hold his and tightly. "Here we go." I only here that... then I was in dark. We passed so many scenes. I felt my grip was losing. I raised my hand. I had to put so much effort for it. The darkness was pushing me back. I struggled and hold Nico's hand by both of my hands. I felt my skin is peeling off of me. Then I saw a big light. I closed my eyes tightly. We've came out of from that darkness.

We were in the darkness for few seconds, then we were out of the underworld, in the human world!

"What was that?" I asked Nico about the darkness that took us here. "It's called as shadow travelling. It's easy at nights."

"Can you tell me more about it?" I was curious. Nico looked at me surprised. "I remember someone asked me about it before. I..." he scratched his head. "...it's a transporting way. Well, all shadows are part of the same substance. There is only one darkness, and creatures of the Underworld can use it as a road, or a door. Only monsters and demigod children of underworld can use this method. We slip into the shadows and come out from a shadow where we want to go. It's like sliding in a tube." Nico explained.

I automatically started to clap. He explained me it very well. "Thank you, Nico. It was super" Nico blushed. "Vany, can you stop clapping. I'm not used with it." I stopped clapping.

I looked around. We were standing near a road under a big tree. Behind us, there was a field, a corn field. "So, this is human world!" I whispered. Nico nodded his head. "Now we're near Long Island. Will lives in Long Island."

"Then we can go there. We can go Will's home" Nico's face became darker. "I should ask it from dad. I can't take you there without his permission."

Yeah, they're hiding something from me... now I've confirmed it. I... I wanna know about it. I'll give them time to plan how to hide those things from me. I should start planning to get know about it.

"Well, I'll take you to shopping. You should wear a better dress than what you wear." Nico looked at me. I looked at me. He was right. I was wearing a warrior dress. It's totally different from the other people who were going on the road. "Yeah, sure. But can't we go in those strange things which people use to travel" I showed a car which was passing us in that moment.

At first, I didn't know what they are called as. I heard someone was whispering in my mind. "It's a car..." that voice said. "We'll take a car."

"How did you know that it's a car. You were sleeping for over more than three thousand years!!!" Nico surprised. "Well, I just knew it..."

"Alright, I'll catch a taxi. But we can go there by shadow travelling..."

"Nah!!! Don't even think about it. I'll go by shadow travelling on the day I learnt how to use it. But until... I won't... I don't want to go like that." I refused what Nico said. Well, shadow travelling should be done by ourselves or else it's just a shit.

We waited for a taxi. 5 minutes... 10 minutes... 15 minutes... there wasn't any taxi. "Nico, when will a taxi will come here?" I couldn't wait there anymore. "Let's just wait here for a little longer..." both of us were waiting for a taxi again. Mmmhmmm... no taxi. "Now it's been 30 minutes!" I complained.

In that moment, a white colourPrius passed them. It suddenly braked and reversed. It stopped in front of Vanyand Nico. The windows of it were black and I didn't see who were inside of it. Theperson who was on the driving seat lowered his or her window. Nico kept a stepback. His face covered with a cloud of fear.
