Chapter 53

Vany steps towards Gaia, attacking all the monsters that come in front of her with her little dagger. I'm looking at her in that action zone because I've never seen her behave this way. Her action zone has changed so much that she can't even look at him. Someone who knows her well will no doubt wonder if this is her. Her cruel look is enough to burn someone. But I love to look at her. No wonder I've seen her face since I was a child and have a crush on her. But my subconscious tells me over and over again that it is doubtful that her behaviour will change in this way.

Looking at her, I could not remember a single moment of the war around me. Suddenly, with the thought that something was going through my chest, the dog found an arrow stuck in my chest. Although my vision was blurred with pain, I stared at her image because of the feeling that if this was my last moment, I would have to die while looking at her.

I saw Will come up to me shouting my name. But then I saw Vany looking back at me. My subconscious kept telling me that there was something big about us that she did not say. But she never offered to say it. There are a lot of things I did not tell her. At the top of it all is that I like her more than I do. But I never had the strength to say it.

In the midst of all this, she looked at me strangely. A lot of things had been added to that look. She stared at me for a while and then turned back to Gaia. I realized that it was not a good thing but I did not have the strength to say it. She continued to step towards Gaia. I saw a scary look on Gaia's clay face. Or was it just something I had in mind? Gaia raised the small dagger in her hand towards Vany. I'm glad Vany saw it. But people just stared at Gaia without doing anything. Gaia stabbed Vany's in the abdomen, plunging me into a deep silence. I felt like everything was coming to a standstill.

I did not see the expression on Vany's face as she turned her back on me. With a stab wound from Gaia, she waited, doing nothing. It took a few seconds. Gaia's face was covered with intense fear.

A stream of hot air came out of the Vany. The fear on Gaia's face turned to pain. That stream of air covered Gaia, Kronos and all the monsters. They screamed in pain. That stream of air came to me, filling my body with a warm feeling. That feeling is like the feeling I get when I see Vany. Someone removed the arrow from my chest and removed the wound, leaving no scar. At one point he thought it was Vany but fell to the ground as soon as the stream of air stopped blowing.

 All the monsters, including Gaia and Kronos, had disappeared and the campers were all looking around in amazement. Thalia ran fast towards Vany. Using all the strength I had, I ran towards her as fast as I could. Blood flowed from her abdomen from a stab wound by Gaia. 

Vany's eyes met mine. She looked at me in a way she had never looked before. That look was full of so many things. My eyes were wet with tears beyond my control. I knelt in front of her and looked inside her. It seemed to me that she was having a big fight with him. Her eyes slowly closed as tears moved down her face. Her breathing stopped. Will quickly got there and checked her pulse. Nico pushed him away and knelt in front of Vany in tears. 

"We can not save her. She burned her soul to save us. Even though her body is alive, this is no longer the Vany we knew she was."

I felt like my heart was being squeezed by someone. I took her still body and hugged her. One by one my tears fell on Vany's face. My heart was filled with a thousand things she had not said.

Vany's head rested on my chest."It's all your fault Jungkook. I'm been shut up for so long watching Vany suffer. But I can not remain silent. Vany has an unbreakable bond with you. She's still alive. "Nico suddenly started blaming me. I felt like I was drowning in a lot of problems."What are you talking about !?" Percy looked at me and Nico in surprise. Anyone who looks at him can tell at once that he is very sad. Whoever it was, his half-sister died."He ... Jungkook was Vany's boyfriend. The two had an affair before Vany's death, 3,000 years ago. Jungkook was then known as Alex" tears streamed down Nico's cheeks."We'll talk about keeping Vany in a safe place. I still can not figure out how to say this to Artemis and Poseidon. The first thing we have to do is get her to a safe place," Annabeth said."Annabeth is right. We'll take him to the cabin Artemis" Thalia took the lead. All of the campers were amazed as well as saddened that Vany had burned his soul and defended them. Except for a few people closest to Vany, all the campers went out to help the wounded as well as repair the broken ones, but they were worried about Vany's condition.
