Chapter 12

I sat on the bed and smiled at Will to thank. Nico was kneeling near the bed. He stood up and hugged me warmly after I sat on the bed. Chiron was looking at me suspiciously. His eyes showed he was going through his memories.

Suddenly he started to talk. "Vany, how old are you?" I knew he knows something about me but with Nico's fear, I lied him. "I'm seventeen years old. I know you must surprise cause you didn't know me and never seen me before. Actually... I'm a child of underworld. Underworld is where I'm belonging. I have dad, mom, grandma and now my brother too. I didn't want to come out middle of those commotions." I acted as normal.

Nico looked so relief. "I was thinking about why you suddenly passing out like that? Do you know what's the reason for it?" Ah-ha... he really must know something but he's not sure about it. Let's play a game with him. I heard that Chiron is a son of Cronos, when I was back in the underworld. I hate Cronos... I hate the enemies and the families of enemies of my family.

I smirked a little. "Well, you know I was in the underworld and... I was sleeping for a lo...ng time." I looked at Chiron's face. He was in the middle of my word trap. "This is my first time of coming outside of the underworld after my lo...ng sleep. So, it can be practical because I'm not used with outside of the underworld"

I've already understood that Chiron is a good guy but I wanted to hide my personality as I don't know him yet. I knew he's a son of Chronos like my father and stood against his father. I don't want to hurt my brother or my family members by telling the truth of me as they all are hiding it from everyone. So, why should I tell everyone that 'Hey! I'm Vany... I was sleeping over three thousand years. At first, I was dead, but my father Hades, gave me my life again.' I'm not stupid or that crazy to hurt my family.

"Ah, it's fine... I just asked you cause I think I heard some rumors about someone named Vany but it was just only a rumor I think. If you're fine... why don't w..." he stopped what he was telling as I wasn't listening to him. I felt something warm.

Maybe it was something with the weather but it became warmer and warmer. It wasn't burning me like when I feel anger. It was something smooth and warm. I looked around me. Annabeth and Shennie came into that room running.

"Why are you here? We searched for ya'll. Artemis and hunters are here and we're in trouble! An army of enemies have surrounded us. Hunters are trying to stop them but the monster army is more energetic. There were dracaenas, espouses, and some creatures... we've never seen something like them... campers are there to help hunters."

"But hunters always do everything alone. Why they are here? And you said it's an army of monsters that we've never seen?" Percy looked confused. He was wasting time. I wanted to help Artemis so badly. I looked around. No one didn't do anything.

"Are you insane? Why don't you go to help when someone needs help?" I shouted. I was also confused when I shouted. I've never shouted like that after I woke up and I don't really have any memory that I've shouted before. The only thing I wanted to do is to help Artemis. When I heard that Artemis wants help, my body started to feel something strange. I felt that I knew her very well.

"Vany is correct. We need to help. When I see them, I saw hunters were struggling so much to stand against those creatures." Shennie ran toward the room door. I raised my leg to follow her but Nico stopped me. "No Vany! You can't go! You should stay here!" Nico's voice took a rough sound and it contained fear too. He always does this!

"It's unfair Nico! Look everyone has gone. We don't have to waste time. I wanna go there! I know you're hiding something from me and I know that I'm not a child of underworld too. I knew it since from the beginning. I wanna help Artemis. We'll go back to the underworld again after help her. please let me go too." Nico looked down. I knew he was thinking hard.

"OK, but promise me that youwon't go away from me and you should stay next to me!" I promised him so, heagreed to take me there to help Artemis. When we got closer to the fightingarea, the warmth raised.
