Chapter 48

He stepped straight to Alex. Oh no! is he... is he tryna kill Alex!? "Stop!!!" I shouted but nobody heard it. Tears rolled down. I couldn't do anything. Joon Ki was my friend and Alex was my lover. I can't let them get hurt.

Suddenly, my dream ended. Then I realize that I was standing in front of the camp half-blood seeing a daydream while opening my eyes. all the campers were out at the border of the camp. Their faces didn't express the happiness which they always had. Their smiles had faded away and they express anger, hatred and pain. All of them were armed with weapons. 

Then I realized that a hand is around my neck holding me back. "Look how your people die, " Kronos's voice whispered into my ear. So, he's the person, not a person, he's the fucker who is holding me back by my neck. As always, Kronos released his grip making me fall to my knees. 

I looked front at the camp. My first scene was Jungkook staring at me. He was staring at me like staring at a betrayer. I know how it feels when the person who gave you strength is betraying you at your back. 

I took the small dagger which I was hiding among my clothes. I put my strength on it and stood up facing the camp. I turned to Kronos and stepped toward him slowly with an evil smirk. 

"I told ya... you're gonna have a painful death" I whispered to him. 

I cut my hand in front of Kronos's eyes with the dagger, which made it wet with my blood and stabbed Kronos's chest. 

"How are you feeling now when you're poisoned with the poison which has no cure for it? Maybe it'll be more painful as it has my hate mixed with the poison. Now you're poisoned same as me grandpa... you'll have a painful death. I told ya... evil can't live while I'm alive" I took the dagger back. "Because the poison is mixed with my blood, it'll observe faster to your shitty body" 

I turned to the camp. "Girls! Now!!!"

A rain of arrows made the stinky monsters into dust. Everyone was surprised by the sudden attack. The hunters of Artemis revealed from where they were hiding. 

The campers and monsters slowly started to fight each other but when the monsters realized the war has begun, they were too late. Thousands of monsters were against a hundred or two hundred campers but now they were blown into dust as groups by the explosive arrows. 

A dracaena who was going to stab me was swallowed by the ground. I knew it was Nico who had always protected me since the day I woke up after a long sleep. 

I ran to Joon Ki who was fighting against a camper. I put my dagger between their swords and stopped them before anyone get hurt. 

"What the fuck you're doing, Vany!? Why didn't you let me kill that stinky brat!?" Joon Ki asked me angrily. I pushed the camper away to a safe place. I turned to Joon Ki and slapped him. "What am I doing? I'm the one who should ask you! Don't you have the brain to think what is good or bad!? Can't you see that you're on the wrong side!? You should fight against those stinky monsters! Not these innocent campers!!!" 

"So now you're betraying lord Kronos and queen Gaia!?" 

"When did they become so grateful!? I've never been on their side for a single second of my life. You'll never change. You were always on the wrong side even in the past too. Just try to choose what is good and what is bad even now" I left Joon Ki alone and helped the fights which needed help. 

So many monsters died but fortunately no deaths from our side but some were severely injured. My hand was burning but with the injuries of some campers, my injury was just a scratch. Our enemy side is at the edge of defeat. The sun was rising in the eastern sky. 

"Retreat!!!" Kronos shouted in pain. I looked at the running monsters. All the campers sighed when the monsters disappeared from our sight. Thalia ran towards me among the campers and hugged me in relief. I felt my body light.
