"Vany! Vany!!" I heard Thalia calling my name. She slowly laid me down on the ground. No! this is not the way it should be! I should stand and show them that I still can fight. Nico ran to me and held my hand before he sighed in relief.
"Don't worry. She's not gonna die. She's just tired."
"Ooo... when did you learn medicine, Nico?" Percy asked putting his hand over Nico's neck.
"When I have a boyfriend who's well known in medicine and a son of the god of medicine, it's too normal to learn medicine," Nico replied proudly. Will scoffed and the campers who were around us burst into laughter. They were talking and laughing when the war had paused for a while and it brought the happy last days of the camp. I didn't know how long they were talking and laughing like that. I fall asleep while they were happy talking.
When I open my eyes again, I was on my bed in the Artemis cabin. I think it's near to lunch. Surprisingly, the camp was in a deep silence like midnight. I looked around and saw mom was next to me sleeping on a chair beside me. She was holding my hand which I cut by the dagger last night. It was bandaged and it hurts like the hell.
I saw the hunters sleeping on the other beds as if a war had never happened. They should be tired. I took my hand from mom's hand and slowly sat on the bed. The little 'creek' sound of the bed woke up mom.
"Oh! You woke up! What a relief. Aish! You scared me to the death!" she hugged me tightly which made all my oxygen come out of my lungs.
"Ouch!" the injuries still hurt me.
"Oh sorry! I'm so sorry for not coming at the moment you wanted me and all the gods. How did I put you through all these things...?" mom lightened the hug. I know no one hadn't seen this soft Artemis even in history.
"Mom... I know... Monsters are everywhere and you were all alone hunting them as I took your hunters and you don't have to blame yourself like this...! You have to complete your job of hunting the monsters for a better world... I love you mom and I know you love me too." I winked. "You should go now...! This is a war between me and Gaia and I'll finish this by myself. At the end of that wench", I stood up.
"Don't be rude... Gods are here to help and we're willing to kill Gaia and Kronos. We also have to take revenge from them to aparting you from us. Also, who is that..."
"Ma...! This is my turn now... Please let me finish this alone" I knew she was about to ask about Jungkook. If so, what should I tell her? I can't lie to her also, I can't tell the truth too. If I tell her the truth, she'll be got to him and will start to about him out of the blue while he doesn't know what's going on here. He'll get confused and will ask what mom was asking and it'll cause a big problem and I don't want any problem to be here until I finish this war. Mom will get angry because Jungkook hadn't recognised me and maybe she can kill him too. Then all my plans vanished and I don't know...
"Aish... I forgot that you're my and Poseidon's daughter and your rudeness came from us which can't be seconded by anyone" Artemis patted my nose with her finger. I sniffed and hugged her.
I hoped she and dad will be united again but a part of me knows that it's impossible to be united again. dad married that dolphin lady and mom chose to be single forever. It's all my fault at last.
"I'm sorry mom" I apologized out of the blue.
"What for!?" Artemis was confused.
"I messed up everything"
"If there isn't any mess in our lives, it won't be beautiful like this" Artemis started to tickle me.
"Mom! Stop!!" I shouted making the sleeping hunters wake up. They stared at us while laughing out loud.
"Thalia... help me...!!!" I screamed.
"Sorry... but no sorry. It's our leader's decision to tickle you." she refused to help me and laughed with the other hunters and so did I. It was funny and now the hunters are like a family to me. I can feel the bond between each of them.
"Enough...! Enough...!!! we have the battle to finish and now you have to rest for tonight. Mom...! stop tickling me...!!!"
Mom stopped tickling me. "Are you sure that you don't need God's help!?"
