The Artemis Daughter

Chapter 2

"She's so adorable" Aphrodite was looking at a small baby girl who was in Artemis's hands. Poseidon was sitting next to Artemis. Both Artemis and Poseidon looked so happy. 

Other gods were also looking at that baby so happily. Actually, Hades was also so happy at that moment. Persephone's hand was around Hades hand. They came near Artemis. "Bro... you're so cool! You have a sweeeet baby. I really like her. She'll be a beautiful lady." Hades looked at Poseidon. 

Poseidon smiled in happiness. His smile was filled with proud. "Aish... not like other babies, she look so special too. We always had different ideas for babies but I like her. Artemis... Poseidon... you must be very proud of her." Persephone jumped in joy.

An arrow came to me. It went through my chest...

I opened my eyes. I was breathing so hard. I sat on where I was laying. I didn't know what was that place but it so was comfortable. I felt my chest was burning. I touched my chest. I felt my heart was beating fast. I looked around. Everything around me were dark but I could see around me and it was cold too. 

I heard someone's footsteps. It's not a single person. There must be two people. My head started to hurt. I gripped my head tightly.

The people who belong that the sound of footsteps appeared in front of me. There was a kid, most probably a teen who must be 17 years? And the other person is an adult. I can't guess how old he is. He doesn't seem that much old. But his eyes told something different. They were old and seemed tired. But he looked so familiar to me.

"Ah, Vany... you finally woke up!" the adult person's eyes were glowed in happy.

"Who... who are you?" I was surprised. I can't remember anything. Well, I remember my name and some unclear memories...

"You... you don't remember me? I... I... I am..." that adult stuttered. I was staring at him. I think there must be a weird expression on my face.

That adult inhaled a big breath. Then he exhaled. He looked calmed now. "Vany... I'm... I'm your dad. Hades"

Well, that kid next to him was so surprised by the adult person, Hades's words.

"Dad...???"

"Yeah Vany, I'm your dad and this is your brother Nico!" Hades showed the boy next to him. What? Is that person my brother? But I don't feel him as someone that I know. I smiled lightly but it contained a strange feeling too.

"Ssss... so, where am I now?" I looked around me.

"Well, how can I explain it to you...? I... I'm the god of the underworld and now you're in your home, in the underworld." Hades' voice cracked as he's scared of something. He was expecting more questions from me. I saw it from his face. I don't know why, I could understand what he said.

I shook my head to let them know that I understood it. "You... did you understand what our dad said?" Nico was surprised. Well, I don't know what's going on here. Is this a drama that I don't know but monitoring?

I stood up and walked towards to Hades and Nico. "So, you're saying that you're the Hades who is the god of the underworld and you're our father..." I showed Nico. "...and now we're in the underworld!?" my brain had been gone into a black hole. It's just a mess and I felt my body was just like a dust... floating?

"Yeah...?" was it a question too?

"OK dad... so, if you're my dad and this is my brother... then who is my mother?"

"Well, it's me!" a woman appeared.

"Hello Vany... I'm your mom... Persephone. You were sleeping so long. How can you just forget your mom?" if she's my mom, why do I feel that she's acting? She was lying but her eyes can't lie. I saw it very well.

"OK, mom..." I turned to Persephone. "If dad is a god, are you also a god too?"

Persephone smiled. "You're so genius. I'm the queen of underworld and the goddess of spring" she touched my chin.

"If you're the goddess of spring, why you're in the underworld?"

"Well, Vany... it's so hard to explain..." Hades came to help Persephone because she was in a trouble by my question.

"Our mother married to our dad. So, she's stayingwith him, in the underworld." Nico looked at Persephone scaredly. What wasthat? Why does he look at Persephone scaredly? She said that she's our mother...Aish... my head...
