Chapter 14

"Well, I don't know you very well but... there's something that binds our souls together. I... I didn't mean that it's an unusual attraction. It's something...argh!" I smirked. "You driver-boy, did you just understand it. I thought, you understood it when I passed out for the first time. Now don't waste my ti... oh shit!" I pushed him away while I also jumping away as the Chimera blew fire towards us.

I rolled away and stood up. That bloody Chimera opened its mouth to blow fire to me again. I quickly took the arrow that I tied the lead at its point. At the moment I was going to shoot the Chimera, a big eagle came to me and fly away. What the hell was that? I was near to kill that brat!

I took another arrow from the arrows that I've tightened under my thigh belt to attack that big eagle but the eagle shouted while going down. "Vany stop!" was it my imagination or did I really understood what that eagle said. The eagle came lower and dropped me to the ground. I landed on the ground standing.

I looked at the eagle who landed in front of me and turned into a human. It wasn't anyone else! It was Hazel's boyfriend Frank! "Ya! Why did you try to attack me when I save you." Frank asked out of blue. My blood was boiling.

"Ya! What do you think? Saved me? You just vanished my plans!" I said angrily but in a calm voice. "What?" Frank surprised. "I don't have time to waste on you. I have to kill that Chimera before she kills any demigod or hunter. I'm just letting you as you're Hazel's boyfriend. Remember it" I ran back into the fight. The fight around me was intense. I stepped towards the Chimera. She saw me. She also started to come near me. When she was fastened, I started to run away from her.

Now the Chimera is following me behind. I wanted to take her away from the fight. She did what I wanted. What a foolish Chimera. She's doing what I want from here. I ran faster and suddenly stopped. But the Chimera didn't slowed and straightly came for me. I attached the lead headed arrow to the bow and waited until my prey come near me.

I pulled the bow-wire. 25 meters... 20 meters... 15 meters I counted down. 10 meters... now it's the time. I released my shot and started to run again. The Chimera opened her mouth and chop the arrow. She's making this easy to me. I didn't feel tired and I continued running letting the Chimera follow me.

The Chimera started to slow down. I straightly ran towards to the fight. I picked a dagger that was on the ground before enter the fight back. I stab some Dracaenas and made them blast into dust. The Chimera entered the fight too. I looked at her she's weakening. She continuously came towards me.

Suddenly a silver arrow came and struck the Chimera's head. It fell on its legs and pushed towards me with the speed and its weight. I stretched my left hand back which the hand I was holding the dagger. Splash! A Dracaena popped to dust and floated away in the air. I looked at where that silver arrow came from.

My eyes widened. My unclear memories started to become clear. 

I saw I was playing with bow and arrows, daggers, swords and different weapons when I was at the age of seven. I looked like a professional fighter. If the present time parents saw it they will scold to my parents but the gods were looking at me while smiling at how I'm good with those weapons.

The scene changed. I was running while a man... no I mean a god was following me behind. I ran while laughing loudly towards a goddess who was looking at us and smiling. I ran and jumped to her and hid behind her.

"Ma! Save me..." I shouted while laughing, hiding and running around her. "Ah! You two... you're really cute! Stop being cute like that" the goddess burst into a laugh. She was a beautiful and vigorous, wearing a short costume that leaves her legs free. Her eyes had the anger but had the kindness too.

And the man who chased me behind and played with me looked young too. He was a handsome and a strong man with a brown hair with a face of fighting look. But he still looks so calm and kind too. He had ocean-blue eyes like Percy's.
