Lapis flapped onto a mushy dirt pile. "Ew." She hissed and kicked the dirt. She looked at a wide cave with blue crystals sticking out of every crook and cranny. "This adventure stuff is keeping me going..." She muttered and checked a bubble with Jasper in it. The water chains have shrunk. One blink and they were rebuilt. She saw her friend/enemy let out a silent roar. She almost laughed at it.
"Who has come to my dwelling?" A voice shouted as Lapis' bubble popped. "Peridot... Is that you?" "Lapis Lazuli!" She screamed as electric swords flew by her ears. "Stop!" She motioned water around the woman. "Let me go you blue vermin!" "NO!" Lapis barked, authority in her voice. "I've already done this... I don't need it anymore!"
"What?" Peridot panted, freezing. "Disrespect. You're going to tell me where my weapon is. Now." "But it could be anywhere in the universe! Well, the galaxy, because it is at least on a near celestial body. Not the point! It-" "NOW!" She shrieked as a wave spilled behind her back, freezing. "It's with Jasper!"
"Jasper?"
"Your weapon is special, Lapis Lazuli. It can defy all gem science; it powers new technology. We can restart the Kindergarten." "We?" Peridot daringly stepped forward and grabbed Lapis' hands.
It was tempting. The new and stupid gems... All under the control of Lapis Lazuli, worshipping her like a goddess. "No. I'm a neutral. Not an evil nor good." She said, sounding defeated. She checked the bubble. Jasper was running off in the water. Lapis groaned in anguish.
"I can get someone to help you..." Peridot logged on to the gemnet and showed her thousands of faces, none of which looked helpful, smart, or kind. "How about Amethyst?" Lapis murmured. "Her?" "Yes. She wants vengeance on the Kindergarten. She can help me."
"I guess." Peridot pressed a button and Amethyst appeared. Peridot typed something and a bleep came up seconds later. "Heh." Peridot laughed and clicked a button that made a dinging sound. "I don't have time for this!" Lapis grunted. Peridot rolled her wide green eyes. "You sound like Ruby." Amethyst appeared and put a hand on her wide hip.
"I'll help you. But I brought Garnet to help with Jasper." She heard the large gem appear in the cave. "I brought Pearl to help aide the weapon." Pearl appeared. This was getting annoying. "And I brought Steven because I don't trust him alone!" Lapis spun around. "Lapis!" A little boy with a ukulele waddled over and hugged her. "I get to go on a mission with you!" He squealed.
"It's not a mission. It's a quest." She murmured.
