Lapis sat in her gem. She was sitting on water. "What went wrong? My power overcame me... And I went... Nuts." She looked around. "But they... They didn't bubble me. Or trap me in something. I should thank... Thank Steven for that. And say sorry." She murmured.

She looked at her form, hovering in a hologram in front of her. She now had a simple shirt and shorts on, both white. She used her hands to shorten the white shirt into a blue long-sleeved crop-top, a white star on both shoulders. No way she's going back to Home-World. Not after the mess she made.

She brushed the shorts into a short blue skirt, with a white rim on the bottom. And finally she blew on her shoulder stars to make a white cloak. "Perfect." She breathed, as the hologram changed into her current form. She jumped into it and appeared in a simple wooden house.

"Lapis! You took a whole week to come out!" Steven ran to from stairs. "You changed so much!" He smiled. "Steven! Get away from her!" Pearl ran over and clutched Steven close to her. "Hello Lapis Lazuli." Pearl grinned at Lapis.

"Oh my gosh! We got a room for you and everything!" Steven tugged her arm to a starred door past a warp pad in the middle of the house. "The middle blue gem is yours." He pointed to a blue dot in the middle of the star. "You can see it later." He waved a hand in dismissal. "I've got to show you around Beach City!"

He led her to a building with an 'O' on the top. "The Big Donut!" He presented it to her. He walked inside to a counter with a pretty and chubby blonde and ab unattractive red-head boy. "H-hi!" The boy's eyes went wide when he saw Lapis. "Are you cold? Because it gets a little too cool around here with me." He jabbed a thumb at himself. "I'm not cold- my body's only an illusion regarding I-" Steven pushed Lapis to the door. "Okay thanks for the donuts bye!" Apparently he was talking to the blonde while Lapis spoke with the boy.

"That's Lars and Sadie. They're pretty crazy about each other." Funny, Lars seemed pretty invested in me. Lapis thought. "But Lars is a player. There's ton more things to see, but it's getting late. We-"

"Why aren't you mad at me?" Lapis asked. "I had been. Garnet made me feel better." Steven ran off when a small blonde boy with no ears waved at him. Lapis flew back to the house to see the tall gem sitting down.

"What did you tell Steven?" Lapis sat on the table in front of the gem. "Lapis-" The gem began, taking a long breath.

"You had power. Everyone has some power. Imagine how much I had, I have. I've made mistakes, I've been corrupted by what I had. That's when Ruby and Sapphire split up. I used to get awful headaches from fusing and un-fusing over and over. For a long time, I was a bad gem. But Rose Quartz told me something one day. 'You have power,' she said. 'but you don't have to use it.'"

"That's so simple though!" Lapis stood. "That's a good thing. I had the power to tell you something more. But I didn't." Garnet paused. "Stop using the ocean. You're making a storm." She pointed outside to the dark sky and darker waves. Lapis floated back to the ground as Garnet walked away.

"All I told Steven to do is forgive you. He did the rest." Garnet walked through the star door.
