'I don't need a bunch of nincompoops following me around and babbling history and life lessons...' Lapis thought as the Crystal Gems trailed behind her. She'd rather go with Peridot. Or that stupid Connie character.
"So Steven, battle eroded every inch off these tunnels, and that means...?" Pearl started. There was a pause, so Steven must have shrugged. "That means the bones of fallen warriors make up the crystals of the cave!"
"But they're not all here. They're spread all across the galaxy! After all, the Great Gem Combat lasted for hundreds of years, so-" Lapis had heard enough. "Will you be QUIET for once! I didn't even WANT you to come! We don't need teaching! I was a teaching mirror for a thousand years! I already know EVERYTHING!" She swooped around to face them. The gems and Steven looked silent and horrified. Lapis was panting from her outbreak.
"It was getting annoying." Garnet said bleakly. Pearl blushed. "Rose wouldn't have agreed." "Ugh," Amethyst began. "That was so boring, I think she would." Pearl blushed again.
"Garnet, can you find Jasper's location?" Lapis asked. "Heading to the Kindergarten. By foot." Lapis started running Gem Speed, and she knew the others were following when she heard high-pitched huffs of air.
They got there to find holes covering multiple rocks. She was trying to find the entrance. Lapis didn't stop to investigate. She followed the holes. She saw Jasper and hid behind a boulder. "Hooray! We found-" Steven was screaming. "Shut up!" Lapis hissed.
Jasper turned around. "They found me!" She whispered, looking around frantically. Garnet plummeted forward, barreling onto Jasper. A cloud of dust emitted from the skirmish and disappeared with Garnet holding...
A trident.
Lapis' Trident.
