Lapis activated her weapon again. It was magnificent. The trouble was hitting the Wailing Stone (next to her) to order all gems to activate theirs at the same time. Only because she was inexperienced.
This whole thing was nuts.
"Lapis!" Steven, again? I have things to do- I have to destroy the world with everyone's weapon-
She got bashed in the head by something pink. She saw Steven holding something pink, and his girlfriend behind him. Weirdo. Liking high-tech animatronics. "Steven!" She clasped her hands together.
She stared at his weapon. A flash of realization crossed both of their faces.
She didn't have his weapon.
"That's quite a nice weapon you have there. Well- I have here- once I defeat you." She held up her trident, trying to shrink it so she could hold it. She hit the wailing stone. "Shrink your weapons guppies!" She yelled into it. Successfully, every gem shrunk their weapon.
"Prepare to be defeated, Steven Universe! It's nothing personal!" She pointed her hybrid weapon at him and shot a long spear, lighting and fire flaring from the spikes onto it, from the middle part of the trident.
He held up his shield as the spear collapsed into it. "Huh?" Lapis exclaimed as his shield turned into a purplish hue and lighting rimmed the edges.
"Gems!" Lapis pressed the Wailing Stone. "Stop helping him!" She screamed into it. She shot orange gauntlets, spiked on the knuckles and a long whip connecting them together.
Steven held up his shield once again as the projectile fused with his weapon.
"Crud..." Lapis cringed.
She shot projectile after projectile at him. It fused with his weapon every time. She watched as her trident was the only thing left. Steven walked closer to her. He took her trident and stabbed her back, cracking her gem. She poofed.
"It's over." He walked to the warp, warping to the Kindergarten. He unfused his super weapon and looked at the water shielding the filled holes in the garden. He held up Pearl's spear. "Pearl?" He called. "Here, Steven!" She yelled from his right. He threw the spear at the water wall and broke it. "I think I know where everyone is, Steven-" She began, looking at the blue gem he held.
"Lapis?" She asked him in a whisper. He nodded. "I'll bubble her." Pearl reached for the gem, but he stole it back. "No. It-it's fine. I'm going to try to reform her."
