What will Troy and Gabriella talk about?

------

Troy kept calling out to Gabriella until he finally caught up to her near the exit door.

Troy pleaded, "Gabriella please talk to me. Tell me that you hate me or whatever but please just say something. I can't take the silent treatment anymore. If you don't want to see me again then just tell me, please."

Gabriella replies, "I don't know anything right now Troy. I've felt like I've been on an emotional rollercoaster. I was satisfied keeping my distance from you when I heard you say all those hurtful things about me. After spending the weekend absolutely hating you, I learned from Martha that you were set up like me, but you had still said those things about me. Then you show up at my balcony to apologise for everything and now I'm all confused. It hurt to hear you say that I meant nothing to you but then you apologised in the sweetest way possible. I'm conflicted right now because I'm mad at you, but I also want to forgive you."

Troy just stares at her for a few moments before he says, "I didn't know I made you feel like this. I'm sorry and I'll try not to bother you too much. Thank you for coming and singing with me today."

He swallows hard and continues, "I just want you to know this one last thing Gabriella. You mean the world to me and I will always cherish your friendship. Once again, I'm very sorry for everything. Goodbye"

Troy then turns around and goes to meet Kelsi leaving Gabriella behind.

It hurt him to walk away from her, but he had to do it for her sake.

He had caused her enough pain and he refused to continue to hurt her.

Troy loved Gabriella enough, to let her go.

------

Gabriella was shocked on hearing Troy apologise for a second time.

She couldn't believe it when she heard Troy admit how important she was to him.

She had noticed how Troy had used 'mean' in present tense which implied that she still meant the world to him.

Gabriella now realised that Troy had indirectly told her that he loves her.

Troy loved her enough to let her go just to ensure that he wouldn't hurt her anymore.

Gabriella was now even more confused, so she decided to just go home to think about everything.

------

Kelsi saw Troy come back alone and looked at him confused.

Troy says softly, "I let her go. I've only been hurting her, so I let her go."

Kelsi quickly pulls Troy in for a bearhug knowing that he desperately needed it.

Troy kept himself from crying by pulling away soon and telling Kelsi that he was going home. Kelsi nods knowing that Troy wanted to be alone.

She knew that neither Troy nor Gabriella would want to do the musical together, so she went to inform Miss Darbus.

Kelsi says, "Miss Darbus, I think that you should give the lead roles to Ryan and Sharpay."

Miss Darbus looks at her confused and asks, "Miss Nielson, did you not like the way Mr. Bolton and Miss Montez sang your song?"

Kelsi shakes her head and replies, "It's not that Miss Darbus. I know that Troy and Gabriella's performance was the better one, but unfortunately they both have some personal issues right now, so they won't be able to do the musical."

Miss Darbus looks at her thoughtfully and then nods, making Kelsi sigh in relief.

Miss Darbus had a feeling that there was something major going on between the two students so she agreed to help them in any way she could.

------

Unaware of what Kelsi was doing, Troy was making his way towards the exit when he saw his father standing at the door.

Troy nervously rubs the back of his neck asks, "Umm... hey dad, how long have you been standing here?"

Jack replies, "I saw you sing on stage if that's what you're asking."

Troy looks at his feet suddenly feeling uncomfortable.

Jack sighs and says, "Listen Troy I'm sorry for everything I said in this past week about your singing. I saw how happy you looked up on that stage. I want you to know that I support you. If you want to sing again, I will never try to stop you ever. In fact, I might just be sitting in the audience with your mother to cheer you on."

Troy feels overwhelmed and hugs his father.

Jack hugs him back finally feeling like he was being a good father to Troy.

------

Jack then drives home with Troy telling him everything about his rehearsals with Kelsi.

Troy didn't say a word about Gabriella and Jack didn't ask.

Judging by his son's appearance, Jack could tell that things hadn't gone well with the girl his son was clearly in love with.

He hoped Lucille would have better luck at getting him to open up.

------

When they reached home, Troy made a beeline for his room.

Lucille was about to follow him, but Jack stopped her.

When Lucille questioned him, Jack started narrating the whole incident.

Jack told her about Troy singing on stage with Gabriella and looking extremely happy.

He also told her that at the end of the song Gabriella ran away with Troy following her.

Troy had returned alone after some time and Kelsi gave him a hug before he found out that Jack had seen his performance.

Lucille said that she needed to call Kelsi to find out what had happened.

Jack tried to argue but she shut him up by saying that they needed to know to help Troy.

Kelsi picked up on the first ring and told Lucille that Troy said that he was letting Gabriella go because he was only hurting her.

Lucille felt sympathy for her baby boy while Jack couldn't believe his ears.

Kelsi also tells Lucille about the chat she had with Miss Darbus in an attempt to help Troy.

Lucille gives Troy some space, wanting to let him come to her on his own accord.

Jack could clearly see that his son was unhappy, but he still supported the decision.

Kelsi also told them about her plan to bring Gabriella to the game to get her side of the story. Lucille agreed with her plan, but Jack was dead set against it.

Jack warns, "I understand wanting to help Troy, but this could result in bigger problems."

The two women ignore his warning and go ahead with the plan.
