"Hey. Sidra, right?" La Mar asked, pretending to not know who she was. He knew exactly who she was as soon as he watched Abel walk into the venue with her. Sidra stood in front of him timidly before chewing on her lip and taking in just how good-looking he was up close. She swallowed the usual nerves she had for speaking to men before starting.

"Yup, that's me. You having fun?" She asked sweetly, leaning next to him on the wall so she wasn't in the way of the other partygoers. He nodded, putting the drink he was sipping on to his head. His demeanor changed almost as soon as she came up to him and the young agent was glad she wasn't too drunk to notice. That meant he knew exactly who she was. More importantly, he knew exactly why Abel had brought her.

"Yeah, I should be. I'm the one that planned it." He said, sizing up the young girl next to him. She was prettier than he expected and actually looked the age Abel told him she was. His tongue sat in his cheek as he stood corrected of what an FBI Agent would look like.

Her eyes widened dramatically at his comment before trying to compose her drunken reactions to the newfound information she could possibly build on.

"What do you mean? Like, you're his assistant or something?" She slurred on purpose, pretending to be drunker than she really was. She shivered a little as the alcohol settled into her system and ignored the loose feeling as he chuckled at her questions. She bit down on her lip as she quickly became enveloped in his shy, but sexy smile.

"Nah, more like a business partner. I own parts of the label." He answered confidently, being careful not to give her too much information that strayed from general knowledge. Sidra's brows raised at his statement, trying again to remember if she's seen his name mentioned in her files before. But her memory started to slip as she watched his body language mold to her presence just like she wanted.

She nodded in understanding as she boldly took his drink from him, sipping on the fruity liquor to try and gain more confidence. Their eyes locked and his inviting smile dropped as he looked down at her.

"That's cool. Good for you." She smirked, licking her lips as he watched her finish his drink. He smirked back, not believing for a second that she was stupid enough to just come and talk to him.

His suspicions were on high alert as she lazily put the empty cup down at her feet, getting up only to stumble a little after losing her balance.

He quickly caught her, gripping her elbows as she fell against him. Her eyes widened at the contact and immediate whiplash she felt as he held her up.

"Fuck! I'm so sorry! I'm not usually this clumsy." She defended truthfully as she desperately tried to compose herself in front of the attractive man. She immediately became embarrassed as he helped her regain her balance in her heels before giving her a shy smile, his guard lowering a little due to her state.

"It's okay. You just finished my drink for me, so that's understandable." He sounded behind her and she slowly turned to look up at him.

"Wow, you are nice." She said stupidly, recalling what Abel had told her moments ago. She was now reasonably drunk, and her thoughts and words were even harder to control as she took in the man's charming attitude as opposed to Abel's nonchalant demeanor.

He chuckled at her comment, knowing for sure that it was his brother that relayed the compliment to her. She bit down on her lip as his smile became sexier to the drunk side of her that wanted to use her investigation as an excuse to flirt.

"Thank you. I try." La Mar said, letting go of the young girl and catching her lidded gaze. A smirk formed on her full lips that almost made him forget that she was possibly investigating his brother. Almost.
