repeat after me.

"Um, what are you doing here?" Sidra asked, trying to hide the shock in her expression as she approached him. He was the last person she expected at her door at 12 in the middle of the night, especially after he mentioned his award show to her prior.

"You weren't answering your phone," Abel said simply, his hands stuffed in his pockets as he sized up what she was wearing and her bare feet as she stood before him. She looked sexy, even with her hair slightly disheveled and it made him narrow his eyes at her rather than voice his opinion.

"Yeah, because it died," she said half-heartedly as she showed him the blank screen she held in her hands.

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I had a long night and would like some peace and quiet right about now." She sighed, giving him a fake smile as she moved past him to open her door.

"How long have you been standing out here? Weren't you worried someone would recognize you?" She asked curiously, wondering why he was at her apartment in the middle of the night.

She had an idea why, but after the night she had, she felt she was no longer in the mood and just wanted to shower and sink into her bed.

"Nah, the outside world all think I'm still at an after-party right now, and there's a lot of old people that live here," he explained, a smirk forming on his lips as he realized she didn't fight him for trying to come in her apartment after showing up randomly.

He closed the door behind him as he continued to gaze at the young girl in the dress she was wearing.

"So, how was your second date with Terrance?" Abel asked nosily, watching her head to her room while trying to disregard his presence.

He took the liberty of following behind seeing as she already had him inside her place.

He walked in on her throwing her shoes to the side and reaching behind her to take off the fitted dress from the other side of her bed. The concerned pop star noticed exactly what she was wearing as soon as she walked up to him.

He sat back on the ottoman in front of her bed as she slowly came out of the tight material, his eyes taking in her every move.

He was positive she wore the revealing dress to show off her curvaceous figure to her co-worker she was now dating. He pretended that it didn't catch his attention as she gave him her regular annoyed look.

"It was simple. We went out to dinner and then he took me to the beach to listen to music and talk." Sidra lied, keeping her stare down as she undressed. Besides her minor lapse in judgment, she still enjoyed her time with Terrance a little too much, but she wasn't going to let him ruin that for her.

She still wanted to see if it got under his skin like she presumed it would when she decided to go out with her co-worker for a second time. Especially after finally disclosing exactly who she was dating.

It was petty and she was more than aware, but he always seemed more distracted when her attention was somewhere else. That was the least she was hoping for from her suspect.

He nodded once at her answer but started to smirk again as she sauntered over to him in her bra and underwear. It didn't matter if it annoyed him that her attention was momentarily on someone else. She always gravitated back to him when she craved what they both relied on.
