They agreed to meet at the restaurant he suggested downtown and as soon as she got there, she saw him sitting outside on the restaurant's bench awaiting her arrival. She bit down on her lip at him, her insides turning at how good he looked as she parked up.

His eyes lit up almost as soon as they landed on her. He got up from where he sat instantly, embracing her in a small hug and kiss on the cheek as they greeted each other.

"You look amazing, Sidra, wow." He gaped, looking her up and down. She was a bit taller than before since she stood before him in her high heels, but he still managed to look down at her and the eye-catching dress she wore for him.

The smile that spread across her face at his compliment made him lick his lips out of nervousness. He started to second guess his intentions in inviting her out for a second date, but forgot about his doubts as soon as she put her hand on his bicep to thank him.

"You do as well, I'm glad I dressed appropriately for this restaurant. It's beautiful," the young girl smiled, looking up at the décor that lit up the entire side of the street. Her partner nervously stayed quiet, a smile on his face as he opened the glass door for her.

"Thank you," she said softly as he followed her into the dimly lit waiting area. Sidra refrained from biting her lips due to the lipstick she had on, but that didn't stop her from nervously playing with her fingers as she waited for her partner to get their table for them.

She wanted to blame and curse Abel for throwing her energy off before coming out tonight, but she could only blame herself for reacting to him the way she does. Especially when it had to do with their case, his wild actions didn't always anticipate her reactions to him and she had to live with that.

Just like how she had to live with the fact that she was now dating her co-worker and thankfully, he was nothing like him. This showed as he gently took her hand, smiled down at her and led her to their reserved table.

"This place is honestly the nicest place I've ever eaten at. And you said your friend owns it?" Sidra asked, impressed at his taste. He nodded sheepishly at her, trying his best to keep his attention on the menu even though he knew it by heart.

"Yeah, I used to work here a couple years ago as well, so I know the food is great." He said, keeping short eye contact with her. He anticipated going out with her again, but he didn't realize how different this setting would be from his little apartment.

He knew she was gorgeous and he was doing his best to get used to the fact that she's actually interested in him, but reveling in her beauty in a setting where others could too started to intimidate him a little.

His prior doubts about making her feel like he's worthy of her presence came back to him as he nervously kept to himself. The young girl noticed immediately as he seemed like he was turned off by her presence.

"Hey, is everything okay?" She asked attentively, putting her hand on his forearm as he held his menu. She watched as he tensed up under her touch, his delayed eye contact making her feel a little more nervous.

"Yeah, you?" Terrance said lowly, watching as she slowly retracted her hand. She nodded once at him before smiling a little.

"Hey, I'm nervous too, so you don't have to worry. We can just recreate our date at your place last week, if it makes you feel any better." She suggested, a deeper smile coming to her lips as she sensed his possible reason for being short with her. He found himself untensing as he stared at her inviting smile.
