I have been working hard and haven't been able to see the kids before they go to sleep. I fall asleep the second my head hits the pillows. Anastasia has been taking care of everything at home. She started to tell me something but I fell asleep before I knew it. The deals I am working on will combine four companies into one division under GEH and will lighten up work for my overworked staff. Two more days and we'll have everything done. Then I am taking a few days off to be with my family.
Anastasia
I can't seem to catch Christian to tell him about what is going on here at home. Not only am I pregnant, but a young boy has came up to be adopted and is in the hospital. His family were all killed in a drive by shooting. He was the only survivor because he wasn't born yet. They did an emergency c section to save him. He was born a month early and placed on a respirator and operated on the second he was born for a gunshot wound. That was two weeks ago and I have visited him twice and the prognosis is good. They were able to repair the wound and he will be able to walk with physical therapy. He might need surgery as he gets older, it will be costly, but worth it. He will need special care for his leg and extra doctors appointments. I think we will be the best parents for him. He is thriving and about to be released they want an answer soon and signatures on the paperwork soon. I have to go see Christian at GEH and made an appointment with him and bringing the papers for him to sign. I just hope he will agree to this adoption. I have looked into getting a new crib for the baby and creating space for Joey, that is what the nurses and doctors call him. He has had three surgeries on his leg and they think he won't need any more until he is walking.

Anastasia came to see me since we haven't been able to talk when I am dead to the world after getting home from a long day here at work. She has brought my favorite lunch and her brief case with her. We both eat and she then tells me we are pregnant finally. Then she tells me about the caseworker calling about a baby boy who is needing a home and family. He was shot while he was still in his mother and has had three operations on his leg. She thinks we would be good parents for him. She wants me to sign the paperwork and I review the papers and ask if she thinks we can handle the situation and she says we can and shall handle anything that comes our way. I sign the adoption papers. I pull her onto my lap and we make out and unfortunately I have to get things done otherwise we would visit the room next to my office. I have a place that I sleep and shower in when needed. We usually visit it when she comes to the office, but it hasn't been used for a while for that purpose. I walk her to the elevator and kiss her goodbye and rub her tummy. Three more days and we can finally relax and go on a vacation.

I get the papers to the caseworker and our attorney. I am very happy about taking the baby home today. Arthur Joseph is the name we chose for him and I take him home with me and security helps get him into the car. He has a special car seat to keep his legs still while he is healing. The doctors have given me strict instructions and I had Taylor and Gail hire a nurse for Arthur just in case.
Finally GEH is running smoother and Christian is coming home at a good time.
Christian
I get to see all my children and my wife who I miss dearly. I am going to make up for lost time with her especially. I meet Artie and see his leg and meet the nurse and chuckle when it is an older guy as a nurse for Artie. Artie is adorable and has big brown eyes and curly black hair. He is making sounds already. I am shown how to hold him and how to move his leg around. We will need to be very careful with his little leg. Anastasia was right this little guy belongs with us. The caseworker came by to check everything and wrote a good report on everything. She was a bit too friendly with me, but I made sure Anastasia was within hugging distance of me. Plus kissing her thwarted any advances the caseworker tried. Debra Walker was very unprofessional and she knew it. Her report was good but we still had one more surprise visit and we tried to get a new caseworker but it failed and miss Walker was not happy about it at all and made sure we got a bad report on the second visit to us. Anastasia called her boss and showed him the videos of both visits and he passed us the final adoption papers after coming for a surprise visit to our home. Debra Walker was given a warning and told her other cases would be reviewed for further issues concerning her behavior. We don't have to deal with her ever again. Mr Jones asked if we were willing to adopt any other children after the three we have now? Anastasia and I told him she is pregnant and we might be willing to later on unless it is a special situation. I knew that I shouldn't have said that because he opened up his briefcase and showed us a beautiful little girl that needed to be placed before she gets lost in the foster care system and forgotten. She is six years old and has been turned over by her parents because they can't afford to care for her any longer. She is very thin and so we're her parents. He said she just needs a safe home and he thought of us when she was brought in. She is in foster care now, but soon she will go into a group hone. Anastasia has that save the world look in her eyes and we sign the documents right then and have a guest room created into a little girls room. The next week we have two new children and one on the way. The little girl has green eyes and is very tanned like she has been in the sun a lot. Mr Jones told me they were homeless and she had to be treated for sun poisoning. That's when her parents turned her over to a caseworker at the hospital.

Sadie Sue Grey joined our family and was shy at first, but she opened up after a week. What she opened up blew our minds. She told us she needed to get her things from the caseworker. She has been learning to read and write on her own and  draw and sketch things as well. She wants to paint as well. We set up a room for her to do all of this. The other children got interested as well, but we insisted they not invade her area for now.
