A Walk Through Time

Daniel
I watch as Andrea seems to get weaker and finally we have to call an ambulance. She refused to go to the doctor. Well I thought she hadn't been to the doctor at least. With us being so busy we hardly had time to be with our children much less each other. But we tried and we finally got the teams in place at all our outlets and across the United States. The triplets are in second grade now and we thought about having another child. The fact is that Andrea did see the doctor and more doctors. She kept the fact from me and that she had a diagnosis that she couldn't be cured of the cancer she has. She was in a coma by the time we arrived at the hospital. I was immediately told that she had brain cancer and was hiding it from me. The doctors said she refused to tell me even after them begging her to. She had hired someone to do her work and a nurse practitioner to look after her, but made sure I had no idea she wasn't an employee of hers and not the company. I never saw the medical bills either.
Herbert
I watch as my son has to decide what to do about Andrea. Alice is beside herself and is trying to hold it together for Daniel, but she can't. The Lewis family are here in force. Christian,  Anastasia, Mia, Robert, Elliott, Kate are all here as well. We were all told this would be the last time we would see Andrea alive. She had been told she only had six months to live seven months ago. There was nothing they could do for her but keep her comfortable.
William
I am sitting by Garland and Ginger, Dana is away for a job and can't be reached at this point. Carol and Howard are here as well. Ginger is flying in by private GEH jet from college. Dad is beside himself at this point. I wished he had married and he would be living with someone who would be there when Andrea passes away. He sees his grandchildren often and missed how sick Andrea truly was, but even Daniel missed it as well. But apparently no one knew but her doctors and her nurse practitioner. Something tells me that Anastasia knew but was sworn to secrecy. I don't want to confront her about this now. She is sobbing and Christian is telling her that she did the right thing for Andrea's sake.
Anastasia
We could have gotten better doctors and she might live longer.
Christian
You heard the doctors we did get to treat her and we flew them in because of their reputations. They tried what they could and you know it. You were her light in the darkness she was feeling. She just needed to tell someone that would be there for her through it all and it was you. She chose you to tell because she trusted you to keep your promise to not tell anyone and I saw how hard it was on you. I knew you were wanting to tell me so badly it hurt, but you didn't and I am proud of you for that, but mad at you as well. But I guess she wanted to live the rest of her life without being pitied by all of us. Including Daniel. She is a strong person going through everything with the doctors with just you as her confidant.
Anastasia
I hated that I couldn't tell anyone, especially Daniel. She basically told me after I ran into her at the hospital coming from the cancer center. She broke down crying in my arms as we went to the chapel and prayed for her, I have only known for three months and hired her the nurse practitioner and had her interview and train her new replacement. I went over and helped her train as she kept getting weaker and weaker. Today I had to meet with Augie about some possible new locations for a new publishing house.
David
I ask Daniel how bad is it and he says she won't be waking up and they told me that she lasted a month longer than she was supposed to. I hug him and tell him he was the best thing that ever happened to her and she wouldn't want him to dwell on this situation and to just go and be with her as long as he could. We each went inside to say good bye to her. The triplets have said their goodbyes to their mother. They know it is the last time they will see her alive.
Daniel
Everyone has Sadi their goodbyes and it is time to turn off the ventilator. I sign the documents to stop my love, my heart, my soulmate's heart and lungs from being kept going. Her gasp of her last bit of air coming out was heartbreaking to hear and witness. Christian has made all the funeral arrangements that Anastasia handed to me and he said he would take care of everything. Mom and dad were waiting for me outside the door to her room and David was there as well. They all hug me and I hold on for dear life. Christian asks to get the key to our home so they can get the outfit she wanted to be buried in. I hand him Andreas keys and tell him where everything is at. He turns and asks Anastasia to go with him to get it and get the funeral arrangements ready. Taylor is going with them, but security is still there from last night when we brought her in. I tell them to go get sleep and get their replacements to come and replace them.
Alice
I tell Daniel that he should take time off and enjoy his children and take them someplace fun. I also say that Andrea would want that for him and the kids.

Andrea
I was shocked that my migraines turned out to something more than stress related. The term brain cancer was not expected and six months left to live by every doctor I saw.  Anastasia was my only sounding board after she discovered me coming out of the cancer doctors offices. We spent the better part of the afternoon in the chapel praying. I asked her to help me keep it quiet and she did. I give her instructions of what I need to get done along with my burial requests.  I was laying down when I got up I passed out and couldn't wake up again. I heard all their goodbyes and finally my last bit of air left my lungs. I see my mother waiting for me and my grandparents and cousins. They are standing in a field of beautiful flowers with white auras around all of them. I reach for them and they pull me into a hug as I look back at Daniel crying as he is telling me how much he will miss me. I am no longer plagued with the migraine or any pain now. I feel nothing but love and warmth around me.
