Jason actually collapsed when they returned to camp in the morning. Cassandra dashed through the camp searching for Scarlett, while Greyson went to get healed. Jason felt himself pulled to his feet by Cindy, who was staring at him with a frown.

"They started delivering food last night," Cindy said, pointing to a long plastic table.

They'd eaten fruit at the grocery store that Cassandra transferred into the bubble, but seeing the joys of muffins and bread was incredible.

Jason rushed over to where people were gathered to witness the amazing sight. Snatching a muffin for himself, he ate it in small pieces to savour the taste of a carrot muffin.

"Your housewife happens to be in your trailer," Nevaeh said with a smirk. "I'm pretty sure she's awake."

Jason had barely seen Bella since she had come back from being in isolation. At first, he was upset with what she did, but those were past actions. All he had to do was focus on what was happening now.

"I'll go talk to her," he muffled, walking past people who greeted him back.

He was only slightly injured, but Emma already has a lot on her plate. He had no idea if anyone was hurt or if only Stick had died. Cassandra did mention that someone else had died, but she couldn't tell who because their bodies were ash. His own power could burn someone, which made him wonder if that follower had his own power.

The food was near the infirmary tent as he walked over, seeing the number of injuries. People were being handed small portions of cooked meat Nelson served or different fruits.

"Welcome back, soldier. How was the war?" Bryce asked with a sly grin, sitting up with his still-broken legs.

"Fine," Jason said.

"I happened to break both of my legs, which has been pretty shitty," he implied. "However, I get to see Emma daily, so I'm fine with it."

Emma shifted her attention from healing Bryce to James, who was still severely injured. She glanced back slightly before going to Angel, who was still injured from Luke.

"I haven't seen much of your housewife lately. Then again, I haven't been looking," Bryce said.

"You look like a feeble child," Mia laughed, pointing at Bryce.

"You look like a crackhead with that uneven hair," Bryce snarled.

Jason felt hands go through his own hair as he jumped, causing Mia to laugh. "I'll dismiss myself," he said awkwardly, strolling away before Mia ends up flashing him.

He went to his own RV and quietly opened the door, but Bella was already up. She sat on the couch and smiled.

"Welcome back. Did everything go okay?" she asked.

He smiled with a nod, handing her some pieces of the carrot muffin. She widened her eyes, stuffing it all in her mouth before looking at his cheek.

"Your cheek is red." He placed his hand on his own cheek.

"Cassandra hit me because I wasn't paying attention when she sensed Ashley was already there," he explained. "She separated the actual Ashley and God."

"Separate? Like the situation Divina intends to do?" Bella asked

Jason didn't say anything because he didn't know what to say to Ashley. Maybe because he hasn't actually talked properly to her as a stepsister in months. The whole situation with knowing Greyson was his actual brother didn't help with repairing the bond he had with Ashley before.

It had always felt like something was different in the family dynamic. Jason could never figure out what it was because there always seemed to be some secret his mother was shutting away, just like what he found in the laptop. That's why he never spent much time with Ashley.
