We've been swimming for what seems like hours. My tail is dying for rest. I can feel we're close but still have a while. All sirens go back to the mating grounds but something feels off.
"Josh, where are we going?" I ask skeptically.
"A new mating ground we will revolutionize our kind" he says stopping and running his down my arm. I pull away feeling disgusted. "We're almost there" he says a little annoyed. I can just feel how mad Justin is. I wish I could tell him why I have to be with him. Just because I didn't kill my mate just yet doesn't mean that I wouldn't later. It was part of the reason I accepted the rejection. I run into Josh and suddenly feel nervous. I cower back afraid of what he was going to do.
"Why'd we stop?" I ask after a few seconds of silence. I finally take in our surroundings. We made it to a beautiful reef close to the the shore. I swim up curios as to where we are. I see a cabin just on the shore. I duck back under to see Josh swimming to a cave. I hurry to try and follow him before I get lost. He rounds the corner and as I'm about to I'm pulled into a cave. I yelp as I feel it's just Josh. I relax a little but not by much. He releases me and I look around. The cave has a golden glow and is oozing with plant life and beauty.
"So, what now?" I ask sitting down on the spongy couch. My hair was around my face and I pushed it back awkwardly trying not to be weird. His attention was all on me as he came closer. He sat next to me and put his arm around me. I snuggles closer to him loving his touch.
"Now we take it slower than most sirens. I want our child to be as normal as possible" a shiver ran down my spine thinking I would have his child. I was glad he wanted to take it slow though. I relaxed a little more and remembered the events that happened on our way here. My hands we folded in my lap and look to him.
"Why did we come here to mate?" I ask him curiously.
"This was where I was born" he says looking away as if it was embarrassing. I touched his shoulder to comfort him.
"What's wrong about this? It's beautiful" I tell him.
"My mother was a traitor I shouldn't have brought you here" he said raising his voice. "We should leave" he says grinding his teeth together.
"It's okay," I tell him "we can start a new generation." What the hell am I saying. This was coming to naturally. He turned to me and smiled.
"We will" he said pulling a thousand watt smile.
"Then tell me your story about you" I said pressing the matter.
"Well it starts with everyone living together."
No ones POV twenty years ago
Everything was perfect. No one stepped out of line with the royals or messed with anyone. Everything was peaceful. In the only siren kingdom in the Pacific Ocean there lived Katarina. She was a loving sister and daughter the only one who cared for anyone. The rest of the kingdom was full selfish people who only care for themselves. She felt siren ways of life was wrong. She didn't want to kill her mate. She did have to survive even if it felt wrong.
Katarina had beautiful silky white hair with sea foam green scales. She decorated her hair with shells and seaweed. It looked better than it sounded. Her voice was one of the most beautiful voice anyone could hear. She was a rare siren. But no one approved of her. She was childish. When a ship was coming over head when she was younger she wandered up to see it. Not knowing any better. When she got there she saw the most amazing eyes. Her heart stopped at the emerald eyes that stared at her. She couldn't move. Her breath was caught in her throat as he approached her. Barley able to move she kept her spot on the side of the boat. He came to the edge a a curios face and mind as to why his mate was on the side of his ship. Had she stowed away on board and tried to climb off before anyone noticed. His wolf was mad not remembering smelling her scent before. He approached the girl on the side of his ship and leaned on the railing. He smiled down noticing her hair was natural. He sighed feeling lucky his mate is so beautiful. She would be the most beautiful Luna ever. Stoping his thoughts from continuing he smiled.
"Hi" he says staring at her multi-colored eyes.
"Hi" she said tucking her hair behind her ear and staring up at him.
"What's your name?" he asks huskily in her ear.
"Katarina" she replied.
"Where are your clothes?" he asked looking around the side of the boat.
"Clothes?" she asked wondering what he was talking about. She examined him noticing a fabric on him.
"Here let me help you up. Scott! Get me some clothes" he called to his co-captain. Scott hurried to get him the clothes tripping over some wood sticking up. When he finally go some clothes he came back to his captain and handed him the clothes with a questioning look.
"Excuses me sir, who are the clothes for?" he asked noticing his clothes were fine. The captain reached the to the side of the boat pulling Katarina up to be on the boat with everyone. Scott's eyes went big as he saw her. He had heard stories about creatures that come from the see with extraordinary hair, eyes and all around beautiful. Scott backed away trembling in fear. His face paled as the captain was too busy looking at his mate to care.
"SEA WITCH!" Scott hollered causing everyone to look at the girl he had been pointing to.
