Chapter 14-The Hunt

Violets POV
The school announced everyone was free to leave while they cleaned the glass shards up. I collected my stuff and made my way out the door. I felt someone pull my arm and spin me around. I look up to see Justin with hurt and disgust in his eyes. My face scrunched into a scowl as I recognized him.
"Did you know?" He asked me with a hurt voice.
"Yeah I knew" I said a bit rude.
"Do you know why she didn't tell me?" he asked looking weak.
"Yeah, she didn't want any one to feel disgusted with her. For her kind it's a rare tradition to be on land and she didn't want to keep moving with her secret she could stay in one stop" I said shrugging.
"I would've accepted her!" he boomed.
"I don't think you would've" I told him continuing to walk out.
"What do you mean?" he heaved.
"You didn't accept her earlier did you?" I questioned him with a knowing look. His face sunk. I turned on my black pump and walked. I'm kinda glad she left. She doesn't need him. Maybe Josh will be better but I doubt it. Something about him was off. When Blair and I went to the mall, something happened. I remember getting lightheaded. I heard a laughing and saw briefly what looked like Josh. Nothing happened but I got very light headed and it suddenly stopped. I looked over and saw her on the floor. Something is off with him.

I had walked a few feet before I felt Justin grab my hand again.
"What I just want to go home and wait for Blair to come back" I said a little hurt. I want to get her back.
"I do too but what if she doesn't?" he asked me.
"I've gone through many friends nothing like her. If she wanted to come back, she'd find a way."
"I'm calling a pack meeting tonight for a search. You either come or don't" he said hoping I'd go.
"I might, don't count on it" I told him. I wanted her back sooner than later. I walked out of the school finally getting to my car. I through my bag in the back and hop in. I put my keys in and pulled out of the parking lot. I look out to the sea going around the road and think of Blair. Where the hell did you go Blair. I groaned missing her. I've been alive for centuries and no friends have compared to her. Most have died around me or left. Most kids at this school have either left me or tried to dis me. I've given up on people.

I had nothing to do and it was around five. I decided to head to the meeting. I huffed getting up. I didn't want to take my car so I used my inhuman speed to get there. Immediately after I was about two-hundred feet away wolfs started running up next to me. I rolled my eyes and pushed harder. They began nipping at my legs and I decided to tree hop. I bounded up into the tree and grabbed on. Guess the broken alpha didn't mention I would be running in. The wolfs stopped running and went back the other way of their posts. I jumped down and landed softly on the mossy dirt. I began sprinting again and made it to the house in no time. I barge in not caring if anyone cared. I walked going where the smell of wet dog odor was strongest. I turn the corner and see a huge double door at the end of the hallway. I pull the doors open and walk in. On the table was a map of the area.
"Derrick you go and-" everyone stops and looks at me. I shrug it off and walk over to him. I look at the map and see a plan of action decorating it. I look at all the places she could've gone before Josh took her. Nit knowing what he was played a big part and finding where she was. Of course their sense of smell is better so they probably figured what he is.
"Any ways, Derrick you go here and see if you can pick up her scent" he the. Turned to me. "this meeting is over. Lets get to work" guess I missed most of it.
"so you know what Josh is yet?" I asked him.
"No we picked up a little wolf on him, so we're going to try and check different packs around" he informed me. He got up from leaning over the map and turned to me. "I was hoping you knew what he was" he said a little with a little softer tone to me. He looked like I was his last chance.
"I wish" I said shrugging and crossing my arms a crossing my body. His face fell when I told him that. He looked for any sigh to tell him that I was lying, but he found none. "All I know is that he's really powerful" I continued.
"What do you mean?"
"Look I was shopping and he popped up when I was light headed I didn't see him any where in the store. Then when I came out this trance I was in, Blair was passed out on the floor" Justin faced was taking in all that I said to him.
"No wolf is able to do that" he said looking back at the map.
"We should still try to look at the packs" I told him.
"Yeah, whatever that wolf smell was, it was a wolf from a pack. It wasn't enough to come from or rouge or be a rouge. I doubt he could shift" he told me.
"Then what the hell are we dealing with?" I said gazing down at the map below. Everything had changed.

Im gonna try to type on the tablet but idk we'll see cause that one has a lot of mistakes if I type on that. but anyway thanks for reading :)
