Violets POV
Justin's pack had checked the surrounding packs but none of them had Josh in or near the pack. They even said he never came through. We were back in the meeting room when dawn came. We were all really exhausted from searching. There was one place that I never told them about and I'm going to keep it that way. If Blair does return.
"Maybe we should branch out more" Justin suggested.
"That's not a bad idea but what about your pack how are you going to protect this pack while your out looking?" I noted to him.
"They'll be fine. Probably" he whispered the last word under his breath but I caught it. I roll my eyes at him but maybe his pack would be okay.
"Soon then were do we start to look?" I asked him.
"We could start here. Could you grab something that Blair used to have all the time with her? I need it to know she's okay. I can feel she's worried" he said sighing.
"Yeah I'll go look for something" I said giving him a reassuring smile.
"I'll go to the Woods pack see if any of them know anything, then you go to the Shadow pack" he instructed to me. He gave different commands to his pack members and told them to move out.
"Hey can I go with you to get something to remind me of her" he asked with pleading eyes.
"Sure" I shrugged and walked out of the pack house. "I'm going by the beach she used to hide out there" I tell him.I take off my shoes as we get to the beach. I walk along the sand and see the cliff and a little opening where her cave is. I push the bolder away exposing what's behind.
"Oh my god! What the hell died in here?" he said holding his nose.
"All the missing persons" I say to him.
"Oh" he says connecting the murders. We search through the draws to try and find something. I look through her vanity desk and open all the drawers. I open the last one to see a necklace. It's a blue heart shaped jewel I was unfamiliar with. It was on a silver chain that was small and delicate.
"I think you found something" I said taking the necklace out and turning to see him look up from her wardrobe. He strides over and plucks the necklace from my hands. He examines the necklace in his hand mesmerize by its beauty. He then un- clasps it and puts it on. He then tucks it under his shirt to keep others from seeing. I roll my eyes at him.
"We should go before people wonder what's back here" I suggested to him. He just nodded and left. I sealed the door back up continued walking up the beach to continue the hunt.
"Thank you" he says to me. I'm a little dumb founded at his words. I mean an alpha saying thank you to a vampire.
"Yeah no problem" I say in a low whisper.
"We've had our differences but I'm glad your here with me now" he says reaching for my shoulder and giving me a light squeeze. I just turn and smile at him.I just made it out of Justin's land and headed towards the shadow pack. I remember seeing on the map it was a little east of his and about a two hour drive but I could probably make thirty minutes. As I start to see a few wolfs on the edge of the forest I know I'm going to have problems. The shadow pack is just up ahead. I speed up and jump up on a tree. I hear growls and howls down below and know they all know I'm here. I keep jumping through the trees to the area where I can smell most of them. I then reach a clearing with a big wooden house. Finally the pack house. Before I jump down I need to make sure I'm safe.
"I need to talk with your alpha" I shout down to them. I see a man leave the front and walk to the base of the tree.
"What is that you want" he speaks with authority laced in his voice.
"I need to know I'm safe, I come from the alpha of the Knights pack asking for someone" I inform him.
"You'll be safe as long as there's no trouble." I jump down and land just behind him on the green grass. "Come we'll speak in my office. I follow him into the house and see a huge staircase leading to the next level and look to see hallways and a kitchen to the left and right. We make a right and I follow him into the double doors of his office. He walks around his desk and sits in his office chair. He motions me to sit. I sit and try to get comfortable in the stiff chair. "Who is it you ask for?" He asks clasping his hands together and resting his head on his knuckles.
"A man named Josh" I tell him. He thinks for a minute and I take this as a time to study him. He has a chiseled face with brown hair and green eyes. He was extremely built too.
"I have several men named Josh. What's special about him?" he asks me.
"He's got an unexplainable power and he's maybe half wolf and something else. He wouldn't be able to shift" I say describing Josh. The alpha thinks for a minute.
"It's not someone in this pack but it sounds like an alpha I know. He's a neighbor. If you follow me to my library I'll show you a map of where" this could be it, but Josh an alpha? I wouldn't have thought that far. I walk with him to his library. He opens the doors and I see rows and rows of books on shelves. I gasp in awe. He leads me to a table in the center with a map on it. The map is similar to Justin's. He studies the map and looks for the pack I need.
"I think it's them he says pointing to the map. I look to where he's pointing and see its one Justin is checking.Yay!!!
