Sirens Curse

IX

Silky coldness surrounded me. My body jolts up realizing something is off. My stomach is growling and my siren is restless. I look at the clock and see it's only six thirty in the evening. I get up and see I'm in my same clothes as earlier. I get up and out of my bed and walk to the door. I open the door to an empty house. I sigh and walk to go to the beach.

I get down to the beach and see barely anyone is here. My voice is playing as I see my next victim come. I grab his hand and guide him to my cave. Its been way to long since I've last been here. I feel his hand noticing it's cold. I look back and briefly see Josh in him. My pitch raises to almost a shriek. His face changed and he let go of my hands. My siren hissed not wanting him to go away. I quickly change and grab him and dive into the water. I attack him as he screams in pain. He slithers away but I grab him pulling him back down and ending his life. I swim down the shore more to where Vi's house is. I arrive at ten and immediately collapse on my bed. I didn't know what I saw but I didn't like it.

Alarm clocks, one of the most annoying things ever. I tap the button and get up. I take care of my necessary morning routine and get dressed. I head into the living room and see Vi on the couch.
"Hey you ready for school?" she asks me.
" Yeah I think I am are you ready to go?"
"Yeah let's go" she grabs her purse and keys and walks to the door. I grab my backpack and follow behind her.

We arrived at school and saw everyone doing their normal thing. I pull my hood up to keep the drizzle from touching my hair. Vi and I walk to our lockers and put some books away we don't need and grab some we do. We walk down the hallway and see drama unfold.
"You mated with her! How could you? You said you were going to make me Luna!" the classic pack slut yells. I never caught her name but I'm sure I'll learn later. Without waiting for her response she storms right by us. Tears streamed down her face. She turned around and looked me straight in the eye, "I hope you enjoy f****** him. You can do better" she turns back on her heels and struts out. I'm in utter shock as I have no clue what just happened. I look back at Justin walking towards us. An annoyed look is on his face. He pulls me to him and stuffs his face in my neck. I freeze tensing at what he's doing. He's really clingy lately.
"I missed you Sunday" he breathes letting go and creeping his hand so it's securely on my waist. I look back at Vi and see she's just smirking. I mouth help me but know my pleas are uselesswith her letting me enjoy this. I sigh and focus on where we're going.
"I had stuff to do" I say flatly.
"What do you say after school we go on a date. Make us a little more official?" he says stopping and coming in front of me with his hands on my shoulders. His eyes are pleading me to go.
"I don't know Vi and I might have something planned" I say unsure if I really want to.
"No we don't" Vi says. I scowl turning back to her as she just smiles sweetly. I feel his warm slide down to my hands and bring them up to his lips and kissing them.
"See you after school then" he says as the bell rings signaling first period is starting. I break away and go into the class he brought me to. I grown as I remember that certain hair color. His head is down focusing on the ground before him. My breath is caught in my throat as I remember what he did. I walk slowly to my seat and sit down. I pretty sure my eyes are bulging right now. Others swarm the class and Josh sits behind me. I gulp and curse inwardly for saving him. Why couldn't I just let him be siren food.
"So we meet again" he says from the back of my chair. I turn around and see him leaning back. His eyes are back to the normal color they were. A smirk crosses his face. He knows I'm trying to figure him out as I'm sitting here practically pissing my pants. I hated the fact he did that but I didn't like the way he was looking at me.
"Why don't I pick you up after school take you back to my place" the smirk he always has on face is still there. Damn he's hot.
"Uh I can't I'm going somewhere" I hesitate quickly. The bell rings for the class to start as I put my head down, the rest of class is boring and nothing happened except feeling anxious.

Lunch bell rings as I quickly get up and walk into the cafeteria and see Justin get up to see me. I smile at how sweet he is. He grabs my hand leading me back to the table. This kinda reminds me of me, except without the killing. Lunch was boring other than eating and small talk. Vi was out again doing whatever she was doing.
"So are you we still going on a date?" Justin asks popping my daze.
"Yeah, sounds fun" I say smiling at him.
"Cool I'll meet you out front" he says smiling.

School let out and I looked for Justin. He was right where he said he'd be. I smile as I walk up and he incircles me in a hug.
"Hey beautiful" he says and kiss the top of my head.
"Let's go already" I say pulling away an endless smile on my face.

As we pull away from the school I see Josh just by the side looking at us. His eyes never leaving mine. Something flashes in his eyes as I turn my head back to look at the road. Justin puts his hand on my leg comfortably and we go do whatever he has planned.
