No one's POV
9 months pregnant, delivery time
"Are you sure your water just broke" Justin asked speeding down the freeway.
"I'm positive, this baby is coming now" Blair said taking deep breaths. He nodded and kept pressing on the peddle to go faster. They had one false alarm before and that was a week before now. Blair was in labor now and needed to get back to the pack house. They had been shopping for some clothes for the baby when her water broke.
They finally arrived at the pack house and rushed to the pack doctor.
"What? What's wrong?" the doctor asked as we rushed in and Justin was desperately calling for the doctor.
"Baby is coming now" Justin said out of breath as he lead Blair to the room where she would have the baby. The doctor held the door open and rushed in after them and started to wash her hands. She then injected Blair with an IV and made sure Blair was comfortable on the table. She then pulled out some bars for Blair's feet to rest on. She extended the bars and strapped her feet in. Justin held onto Blair's hand as she was trying to control her breathing. She tried to desperately keep her screams in but they were slightly muffled. The doctor then measured to see how dilated she was. This baby was pushing his way out no matter if the doctor was ready or not.
"Okay I need you to push and breath" the doctor said calmly as Blair let out a screech. The doctor had to put her hands to her ears to try and prevent damage. Her extra sensitive ears were hurting but she had to suck it up and wait for the baby to come out. When the doctor could see the head of the baby she sighed and caressed the baby's head to try and ease the baby out a little more. With one last push Baby Ian was out. The sound of his sons cries made Justin spring up and look at the doctor for approval.
"Can you go wash him in need to make sure Blair is okay" the doctor said looking at Blair's belly. There was still a bulge in it. The doctor didn't know what to do about this.
"Is something wrong?" Justin asked going over to the washing station and cleaning his son.
"There's another baby in there" the doctor finally said.
"How you only saw one?" Justin said with a hint of annoyance. He just spent all his time shopping for his son and now he might have another one. He would still love that baby as much as he loved James. Now he just needed a name for the other baby.
"Sometimes twins can hide behind the other. Just clean that one" the doctor said turning back to Blair. "Blair I need you to push a few more times. Okay?" Blair just nodded her head and continued to keep her screams in as much as she could. She remembered her mother saying that it was easy for her to give birth in the water and in siren form. She desperately wished she could do that now.
"Blair keep you legs still. Your making in harder for me" the doctor said with annoyance clear in her voice. Blair's legs soon sucked together and turned into her tail she missed. She didn't know how she would give birth like this. It frightened her to think anything that the baby in her now wouldn't make it. With luck the baby slipped through easier than when she was in human form. The doctor hadn't seen anything like this before. She grabbed the baby and quickly led the baby to the sink. This was the first shift for the baby. A tiny siren with a bared jaw and tail. The scales on the child were white and unusual. The babies eyes were still shut and her voice was a beautiful scream that enchanted the doctor. The baby continued to wail as Blair sighed and steadied her breathing. She doesn't care at the moment, she just wants to rest. The baby shifted back into a pale child. The baby was a girl an her eyes were constantly changing. From blue to yellow and other colors. The doctor gasped as she began washing the baby as Blair rested for a minute. Justin had Ian swaddled in his arms. Justin walked over to Blair and showed her Ian. She smiled at him and asked to hold her baby.
"Can I hold him?" she asked her voice raspy.
"After you get unhooked to IV and can rest calmly, okay" Justin suggested. Blair hissed as she began trying to grab at Ian. Little did he know she was becoming possessive over her child. No matter who it was she would always have a connection and a possessiveness no other mother would have other than a siren. Justin complied and handed Ian over to her.
"Do you want me to remove her IV and let her feet rest?" Justin asked as the doctor still tried to clean the child.
"Sure" the doctor said quickly as she still was examining the quiet child. Hair was a little clearer than Ian's. Ian's was a dark color. The baby girls hair was a really light color. The doctor swaddled the baby and walked over to Blair.
"Blair" the doctor said in a friendly tone and loud enough for her to hear her name.
"hmm" Blair said turning to face the doctor. Blair's eye's lit up as she looked at the baby in the doctor's arms.
"Would you like to hold her?" the doctor asked quieter. Blair nodded her head and kissed Ian's head. She handed Ian to Justin and reached for her new child. She held her daughter in her hands and looked in awe as her eyes changed to a pinkish color.
"So" Justin said looking at Blair.
"What?" she asked confused looking at Justin.
"I guess Violet was right about whose baby is was too" Justin chuckled.
"I guess" Blair replied.
"So what would you like to name her?" the doctor asked Blair.
"Sara"
