This is a year late so read 'Lover boy' again if you want full context lol
Jungkook was nervous as he stood in front of the door of the address he had gotten. He tried to calm his breathing to lower his heart rate and once again wiped his clammy hands on his jeans. It had been over a month since he had seen Jimin, but now he was here, in Busan, about to spend Valentine's Day with him. The two of them had been texting each other every day since New Year, and Jungkook's heart had never beaten so fast when talking with someone.
Jungkook took a deep breath and manned up, feeling his pulse all the way in his ears as he finally knocked. Jimin opened the door in no time with a dazzling smile, his fair hair tucked behind his ear. He had missed that smile so bad. The older male let out an audible gasp.
"Oh my God! Jungkookie! You're blond!" he exclaimed, making Jungkook grin widely. The man had dyed his hair a few days prior.
"Hi to you too," he responded, laughing as the other ogled at the top of his head with wide eyes. Jungkook took this time to just look at Jimin; take in the details he had only been able to see through a screen. He was so pretty in real life.
"Come in!" Jimin grabbed Jungkook's hand and pulled him into the apartment, the taller one closing the door after him. "I'm glad you got time off this weekend." It was Thursday evening, the eve of Valentine's Day. Jungkook had had a morning shift, and as soon as he got off work, he got on a train to Busan to spend the rest of the week with Jimin.
"Me too. I owe a favor to my co-worker, but it's worth it," the man laughed. "Oh, hello!" A calico cat peeked its head from a doorway, weary as it looked at the strange human. Jungkook had seen plenty of pictures of Jimin's pet.
"Mimi, come greet our guest. You better like him!" the shorter blond exclaimed, picking up the cat and giving her a kiss before bringing her close to Jungkook. "Look! He's nice, so no hissing, okay?" he said, nuzzling into the fur.
"Hopefully, I don't smell like a dog," Jungkook said while bringing a hand for Mimi to smell. She didn't seem apprehensive. "I left Bam with a friend of mine." The cat did not react, so he gently petted her head.
"I wonder if they would get along," Jimin said, gazing at Jungkook under his lashes with a slight smile. The other raised his eyebrow, a teasy reply dying on his lips when Mimi meowed and wanted back down. "Alright, alright," Jimin giggled, letting the cat jump out of his arms. She quickly made her way deeper into the apartment, undoubtedly going to hide somewhere. "So, are you hungry?"
The two ate a fulfilling dinner Jimin had prepared, talking about anything and everything. They had kept in contact multiple times a day since Jungkook had sent the first text on the first of January, but there was still much they didn't know about each other. They flirted a lot and had exchanged suggestive pictures a couple of times. But now that they were face to face, they felt shyer.
One thing they had agreed on doing that day was baking a big batch of chocolate chip cookies for them to eat on Valentine's Day. Jimin put on some music, and they got to work, although they fucked around quite a bit. Even Mimi came to wonder what the humans were doing. By the time the older man put the first batch into the oven, the kitchen was messy, and both of them had flour in their hair and wide grins on their faces.
Jimin started the timer, and they cleaned up before he dragged the other to the living room. Jungkook felt happy when Jimin cuddled up to him while they chose a movie to watch, and he wrapped an arm around him to pull him even closer. He yearned to kiss him but felt like they needed the right moment for that. Jimin's body fit snugly into his arms, making him even happier. At some point, Mimi strolled into the room, jumping on the couch and wiggling her way into Jimin's hold. She made herself comfortable and fell asleep, and the older male giggled, kissing her head while stroking her. Jungkook thought the two were absolutely adorable.
Jimin's phone alarm went off, startling both men, who were engrossed in the movie. Jimin apologized to Mimi as he got up, giving Jungkook a grin when he placed the cat on his lap. She wasn't objecting, although she did look at the new human a bit suspiciously. The elder blond made way to the kitchen to get the cookies out of the oven.
"Do they look okay?" Jungkook called out, carefully touching the cat. To his surprise, she accepted the pets. He smiled and gave her scratches, which she seemed to appreciate because she started purring and leaning her head against his hand.
"Yeah!" came Jimin's cheery reply. "I'll put the other batch in the oven. Do you wanna try one? If we eat the rest tomorrow." He peeked his head from the kitchen and cooed when he saw Mimi stretching on Jungkook's lap. He came back with a warm cookie and sat next to the other blond, pressing close to him when Jungkook wrapped his arm around his waist.
He split the soft cookie and held the other half to the younger's mouth. They had soft eye contact while they ate their halves, Jimin's fingers lingering on the dainty lips and licking his own after swallowing the treat. He cupped his cheek.
Everything fell into place nicely when they closed the gap between them. Jungkook sighed, pulling Jimin closer and enjoying the goosebumps spreading across his skin. Jimin's lips were soft, pure heaven. They made out slowly, savoring the feeling they had waited for for a month and a half.
Jungkook's eyes blinked open when they finally parted for air, his tingling lips stretching into a grin when Jimin giggled, the older man booping their noses together. They looked at each other, their smiles mellowing as they fell into another kiss. Jimin's other hand found a place on Jungkook's chest, and he leaned further into the taller's body, making the arm around him tighten its hold. Jungkook could feel the shiver running down his spine when Jimin's tongue came to brush against his bottom lip.
Their liplock broke when Mimi meowed, sounding dissatisfied. The men pulled away, and Jimin laughed.
"Huh? You're not getting enough attention?" he questioned while giving her scratches. The cat meowed again, stretching her body before making biscuits on Jungkook's hoodie. "She likes you," he then said, glancing at the other as he laid his head on his shoulder.
"I'm glad," Jungkook chuckled. He gave the purring cat pets and leaned down just for a moment to press a kiss on Jimin's grinning lips.
The weekend passed way too quickly. Jimin had his arms around Jungkook's neck, face buried into his neck as they hugged by the front door. Their lips were already red from making out.
"I'll miss you," Jungkook mumbled into the other's hair.
"I'll miss you, too," Jimin echoed. "But we'll make it work?" He raised his head with a pout on his lips.
"Yeah. It's just one train ride. We could be on other sides of the world." They both smiled, and they fell into one more kiss. "I better go before I miss the train," Jungkook whispered while pulling away. He put the hood up of Jimin's hoodie. Well, it was actually his, the yellow one he had worn when he came. Now he was wearing one of Jimin's purple hoodies. They wanted to exchange a piece of clothing, and they had the same taste in hoodies.
"Text me when you get home," the older blond said.
"You think I have that much patience? I'll probably text you as soon as I get on the train," Jungkook laughed. He got to the door and opened it, his bag thrown on his shoulder. Mimi walked up to her owner's feet and meowed. "Bye, Mimi! It was nice to meet you," he said, waving to the cat before looking back at Jimin. "Bye." Saying farewell threatened to make him emotional.
"Bye," Jimin whispered. "See you soon, lover boy," he then giggled, giving Jungkook a teasing wink before the door closed. He still heard the younger's laugh from the other side which made him smile. "I can't believe he's gone already!" the man whined, picking Mimi up and cuddling her. "Do you miss him, too?" he asked. A meow. "Aww, I know. Maybe we could move to Seoul someday. But don't get too excited yet! He and I have been together for like two days now, so no hasty decisions." Another meow. "If you wanna start calling him dad, you better know that you'd have a brother, then, too! But you're good with dogs, aren't you?"
