Snow was calmly falling from the sky. The air was cold but not too cold. Just enough so that when you go home, hot chocolate is the perfect thing. And maybe a warm bath.
The freshly white snow crunched under Jungkook's feet. The said young high school student had spent a lovely Christmas with his family, eating good food and singing songs. The many moments of laughter and smiles now reflected on Jungkook's content expression. His youngest cousin, Sungmin, had said his first word during Christmas dinner. He was the center of cooing. The other children were also jolly, screaming with excitement.
Jungkook received a few presents himself. Not meaning to sound ungrateful, but he didn't really care about them. He had already gotten one present that was enough for him. A necklace he treasured dearly. It had a smooth, jet black stone and a titanium chain. It fitted his style perfectly. And what's even more perfect? He got it from his boyfriend. His sweet and beautiful boyfriend.
Now, Jungkook was walking to the said boy's house, picking him up to a date. Hands in his pockets, he clenched a little box in his fist. He was nervous but confident. Feeling happy, he fastened his pace.
Soon he arrived at his boyfriends doorstep. He knocked on the door and stood back. A woman opened it rather quickly.
"Well hello Jungkook! I missed you dear! How was your Christmas?" she beamed. Jungkook chuckled.
"Hi Mrs. Park! It's nice to see you too. And yes I enjoyed it, thank you."
"Aah always so polite! But you're here for my son right?" he nodded.
"He'll be here soon. DARLING JUNGKOOK IS HERE!" she shouted, then turning to him with a smile on her face. Jungkook smiled too, showing his teeth.
"Aw Jungkook my cute little son in law!" She suddenly hugged the boy tightly.
"Mom! Hands off!" A familiar voice came from the staircase. A black haired boy walked down. Mrs. Park giggled, letting Jungkook go.
"Have fun you two!" She said before disappearing into the living room. The black haired boy came to him.
"Hey Kookie!" Jungkook let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.
"Hey Jimin hyung." he said smiling.
They were walking in a comfortable silence, hand in hand. Jimin was dragging a sled behind him. They climbed to a hill. Luckily, there was no one to disturb them so they could be as close as they wanted. Even though people were more accepting then before, some still despised same gender love.
They stopped on top of the hill, adjusting the sled to go straight down. Jungkook sat behind Jimin and the older took the string in his hands.
"Ready? Let's go!" Jimin shouted. The ride was fast. Cold snow hit their bare faces. The boys screamed all the way down. When the sled finally stopped, the couple rolled to the ground, laughing hard.
"That was so much fun!" Jimin said.
"Again again!" Jungkook exclaimed excitedly.
They raced to the top.
"That was not fair!" Jimin yelled, out of breath.
"You took a false start and I had to bring the sled!" Jungkook laughed.
"Accept your defeat hyung!"
"You brat I hate you!" Jimin said, pouting angrily. The younger walked to him and placed his hands on Jimin's hips.
"Aw but hyung you're the one who's sulking like a child." Jungkook said, smiling innocently.
"Jeon Jungkook!" The shorter smacked his arm, making Jungkook giggle. He wrapped his arms around the shorter, holding him close. Jimin put his hands on Jungkook's shoulders. They started waltzing around the snowy scenery.
Jimin considered it extremely romantic. They shared short kisses. Nothing heated or lustful, just small pecks. Jungkook stared into his boyfriend's dark eyes. The soft snow framed Jimin's black hair beautifully. A snowflake fell onto his cute nose. Jungkook chuckled and bent down to kiss it away. Jimin giggled cutely and pecked the others cheek. They waltzed in a comfortable silence, keeping each other close.
Then Jungkook remembered the box. He took a deep breath.
"Jimin hyung?"
"Yes Kookie?"
"I love you so much." Jimin giggled again.
"I know you do. I love you too. Very much."
He gave a quick peck to the younger.
"I've been thinking a lot. About my life. And about us, too."
"Yes?" Jimin asked. They had stopped spinning.
"And I've come to the conclusion that I wanna be the rest if my life with you." Jungkook looked Jimin deep in the eyes. He took the box from his pocket and opened it. Inside was a silver ring. Jimin's mouth was hanging open.
"It's a promise ring because I'm- we're still too young." Jungkook laughed nervously.
"Hyung, I love you very much and I want you. Would you accept this ring?" The younger's heart was beating really fast. He was afraid he would get rejected.
"K-Kookie. So you are proposing to m-me?"
"In a way, yes." Jungkook was holding his breath.
"Jungkook, I-I don't know what to say. I-." This was gonna drive the younger crazy.
"Hyung, you don't have to answer right away. Just- just think about it, please? I know we're young and all but I really want to be with you so-" He was cut off with a passionate kiss and the shorter's lips on his. Jimin pulled away. He had tears in his eyes but a beautiful smile on his plump lips.
"Hyung." Jungkook breathed. Jimin hugged him tightly.
"Yes Kookie, yes!" The older exclaimed. It felt like a stone was lifted off of Jungkook's heart. He pulled back from the hug only to capture the older into a long kiss. Again, no tongue. Only love.
Jimin still had few tears in his eyes when the other put the ring to his ring finger.
"It's pretty." He said.
"Just like you." Jungkook said softly. Jimin blushed from the compliment.
They arrived at Jimin's house and now stood in front of the door. They exchanged sweet smiles before Jimin opened the door.
"Call me tonight?" Jimin asked.
"Of course." Jungkook assured.
"Good. I'll go deal with my mom then. You better run. She won't let you go so easily." Jimin giggled.
"Is that you Jimin? Did you have fun? Is Jungkook still there?"
"Run!" Jimin whispered. Jungkook ran away fast.
It was still snowing. He stopped running after few blocks andlaughed during the rest of his way home, being even happier than before.
