Jungkook closed the door of the apartment sighing, rubbing his sore neck. Office work was not for him. Constant stress over some dusty old documents in a roomful of other people and their papers also containing boring information about this and that and everything in between. And don't even get started with the liquid they call coffee. Jungkook didn't understand how his co-workers drank that stuff. He himself went to a café during lunch so he wouldn't have to pour the juice of Satan's ass down his throat.
Jungkook placed the keys on the table and took off his coat, hanging it neatly on the coat rack.
"Jimin baby, you home?" No answer.
"Guess he's not home yet." Which was weird. Usually, Jimin got off work earlier than him and prepared dinner. That was something Jungkook really enjoyed. To come home, be greeted by a smooch from his adorable boyfriend and getting a palatable dinner. Jungkook loved those little things that really just repeated themselves every day, but still made him feel like the happiest man on earth.
Jungkook kicked off his shoes and loosened his tie. He made his way to the kitchen and drank a glass of refreshing cold water. His eyes drifted to the countertop and his movements halted for a second. There was a small basket with a yellow ribbon tied to the handle. Jungkook placed the glass in the sink and with interest and confusion, took the basket in his hand. In it was a note, written in beautiful handwriting.
'For my bunny, I have planned,
A surprise of some sort.
The first egg is in a place banned,
Oh god, this makes me snort.'Jungkook laughed. He sprinted to their shared bedroom, taking the basket with him. He walked over to Jimin's dresser and opened the third drawer. He smirked.
Jimin's lingerie and costumes: the banned place. Jimin had made him swear to the name of Iron Man not to ever open the drawer. He said it was too embarrassing and the clothing in there was only for their little role-playing activities if you know what I mean. The drawer contained a lot of different outfits from panties and silky tops to the little Santa costume Jimin wore on Christmas. Oh, the good memories.
There was a fancy looking chocolate egg placed on baby pink stockings. Next to it was another piece of paper.
'Good, you found it,
Now hands off.
Can you hear the music?
Hint is a coif.'Jungkook thought for a moment. Then he got it. He put the egg in the basket and ran, maybe a little too excitedly, to their storage room. He searched around a bit before finding what he was looking for. A wooden music box that had the scene of Little Red Riding Hood meeting the wolf carved on the cover.
Jungkook opened the box and the familiar melody filled his ears. Little Red Riding Hood was his favorite fairytale as a child and he had gotten the music box as a gift from his grandmother at the age of four. Jimin had painted the original wood cover with vibrant colors and made it look really pretty. Jungkook smiled widely and put the newly found egg in the basket. He read the third note.
'You're pretty good,
But that's no surprise.
Remember when you reached adulthood?
Keep your eyes on the price!'Jungkook's first guess was a vase he got as a birthday gift from his cousin, but there was nothing inside of it. Then he searched through a big box containing various items he had gotten from his family and friends. He only found an unsealed package of embarrassing rose silk bedsheets his mother gave him. Jungkook remembered too vividly the smirk his mother wore as she nudged him towards Jimin who stood next to him.
The hint was his coming of age. What other things he had gotten? Jimin had given him a wristwatch which he was currently wearing, so that wasn't it. Jungkook walked around their apartment, not really knowing what to look for. He sat down on the sofa. He was going to be disappointed in himself if he couldn't find all the eggs. His competitive self wouldn't allow it.
He closed his eyes and thought, but nothing came to his mind. Well, if you count a naked Jimin laying on the bed as nothing, then that is truthful. He sighed and opened his eyes again. Realization hit him like a bullet train.
"Fuck I'm so stupid!" Jungkook groaned, jumping up and striding to the bookshelf. He grabbed a framed photo and almost made the egg hid behind it fall.
Jungkook looked at the photo and smiled. It was a picture of him and Jimin on his birthday. Jungkook had his arms wrapped around Jimin who sat on his lap, devouring his lips. Jungkook's mom, who had to be their biggest goddamn shipper, had suddenly taken a picture and they both had been really embarrassed. But it was s nice picture though.
A piece of paper was taped on the backside of the frame.
'You know I love you, right?
I forgive you for being bratty.
The next place is somewhere bright.
You seriously make me happy.'Jungkook chuckled and shook his head. This time he knew where he had to go. With all the three eggs in the basket, he made his way to the balcony door, pulling the handle and stepping into the bright green balcony garden Jimin had insisted on making. Jungkook had to admit that the outcome really was beautiful.
But not as beautiful as the sight waiting for him in there.
Jimin was sleeping on one of the chairs, looking so fascinating and magical as the shining sun made his skin glow. Jungkook felt his heart swell with love and adoration towards his older boyfriend as he watched him so adorably sleep in the chair. He went closer and crouched down next to the sleeping beauty he was proud to call his. He caressed Jimin's cheek and pressed a light kiss to his slightly parted lips.
"Mmh, Jungkookie," Jimin muttered, still asleep. Jungkook smirked and pushed his tongue into his boyfriend's mouth. Jimin jolted awake and slapped Jungkook's shoulder, but soon melted into the kiss, returning it with just as much love. Jungkook squeezed Jimin's hip and climbed on top of him. Jimin was pulling Jungkook down by his tie and dug his fingers into his hair. They parted for air and looked at each other. Jimin smiled and pecked the younger's nose.
"Did you like my surprise?" Jungkook nodded and kissed Jimin's neck, sucking a small hickey on his jaw.
"Yeah. I like you better though," he said, earning another slap on the shoulder accompanied by a giggle.
"Were any of them hard to find?" Jimin asked, playing with Jungkook's hair as the younger still had his face buried in his neck.
"The second. But I did find the silk sheets mom gave me. What do you say, should we use them sometime?" Jungkook's tone was playful and low. A spark of excitement rushed through Jimin's body.
"Mmh maybe next Valentine's?" he said, pulling Jungkook down for another kiss.
"But Valentine's Day just passed!" Jungkook protested, pouting and sticking out his bottom lip.
"Be patient darling. Now, would you like your price for finding all the eggs?" Jimin asked, biting his lip and gazing up. Their faces were so close Jungkook's breath fanned over his lips.
"I'd want nothing more," Jungkook said before pressing their lips together into a fevered kiss.
