Eren just stared at the contents for about a minute before he could even begin to process what he was looking at. He'd expected maybe some sort of jewelry or sentimental gift Armin had planned on giving (Y/N) or something or maybe something she gave him. He hadn't been prepared for what it was at all. He sat down on the bed to unpack all of it thoroughly.
A small bag of pills, not being labeled wasn't a good sign. Two pairs of underwear that he knew to be (Y/N)'s because they were lost when they were still dating. A chewed pen cap. A used tube of chapstick. A scrunchie. What looked like a homemade key. They key Eren had given her... and there were pictures. One he recognized because it was the one she had sent him as well during that game of truth or dare. Others were more... candid and he swore he could even see himself in them if they hadn't been cropped. The ones that really concerned him were the ones that were taken while she was clearly sleeping.
Eren didn't even know why he would go as far as to print these. Unless maybe he didn't want the evidence on his phone... that was implying things though. No, Eren was sure he wasn't implying anything but uncovering everything.
"What the fuck." He whispered aloud, not quite sure if maybe he were dreaming. Maybe he was so angry that he'd come up with this, and he'd wake up soon. What were you even supposed to do? He'd just seen a whole documentary with Mikasa and Jean the other day about how stalking laws were so behind and how there wasn't much police could even do until there was actual harm done. Not only that but he thought the gravity of the situation might be undone if an angry ex-boyfriend that had now touched everything handed it over to the police.
Maybe Armin was obsessive, and this was just some weird shrine that was innocent? She could know about it? No. There just wasn't any way, not when some of this was from when she and Eren were dating. He recalled how embarrassed she'd been to admit she couldn't find her underwear and insisted that he help her look because she didn't want one of his friends to find them... Not to mention his favorite photo he had of her was when she was trying to play a game with Jean and Connie, she looked so cute and concentrated on the game and she'd wrestled with him to get the phone from his hand and delete the unposed shot. It was becoming increasingly clear that not only had Armin definitely been too friendly towards his now ex-girlfriend but he had been stalking her.
Eren's jaw clenched and he did the only thing he could think of after packing up the box and carrying it out of the room. He picked up his phone and called Jean.
"Hello? Why are you calling me?"
"I'm just gonna say that I'm gonna give you one hour to get Armin out of (Y/N)'s apartment. I'm going over in an hour and I swear to god if he's there I'm gonna fucking kill him." Eren ignored the million questions that came from his friend and instead just hung up. He halfway hoped Jean didn't think he was serious and didn't call Armin away, because the idea of having a chance to hit him did sound nice. The only reason he wasn't actively seeking him out yet is he doubted that (Y/N) would give him a chance to speak freely with Armin around.
"I- I'll be back in a few, okay?" Armin hated not being by her side anymore and wondered how he managed before. If it hadn't been for Jean freaking out on the phone he would've ignored it. He had also tried to get her to come with him, but she quickly reminded him that she doubted she was welcome anymore. Not to mention it sounded it serious.
She laughed lightly, "Okay, I'll be fine. I'm a big girl." Armin rolled his eyes, but kissed her forehead regardless before heading out.
Though she talked a big game, now that she was alone she did feel a little clueless. Armin had the tendency to be a little clingy, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. She never had to worry about him not wanting to be around her, or being too distant. He was quite confident and giving with his affections, which just meant that she couldn't really remember the last time she was alone in her living room for the evening. Pushing back the silly thoughts she grabbed hold of her remote mindlessly scrolling through the channels until she found something entertaining enough to keep her occupied. She was halfway through a totally legit and unbiased paranormal investigation show whenever there was a knock on her door.
