Sungjae retorted in a huff, "How can I be the same? I am your brother-in-law after all! Can't you make an exception for me?"

She was his daddy and sister-in-law already. If he were to become her apprentice, how bizarre and complex would their relationship become?

Jennie replied without much thought, "I think that it would be better if I remained your daddy. If I were to become your coach, it would be a demotion!"
