Chapter 20

"You came here just for a charger?"

"Yes, well--"

"You could've told me to get that to you!"

"Wha-- Really?" I ask surprised then he looks away ans I can't stop myself to smile. "I mean, I don't want to bother you so I came here by myself"

"And look what just happened to you, if I didn't came here your prolly dead right now" he said and I reach my cabinet to find my health kit.

"But I'm still alive, I guess that's more important right?" I ask but the only thing I heard is him scoffing at my question. Finally I found my bandages and other health tools, I take them out and sat nexy to Jeff.

"But really.. thanks" I said and grab his wounded hand but he immediately move it away. "Jeff, its better if I--"

"I can handle it by my own" then snatch the health kit away from me. I just sighed and agreed then I the desk near me caught my attention because of the frame.

"I remember that we took this family picture in the beach.. it was my Parents anniversary" I mumbled tl myself then I look around to my room as if its been a decade after my last visit.

"Argh!" I look at him while he's having a hard time. Well, it is really hard just look at how the knife comes out of the back of his hand he looks like he went crucified but managed ro escape.

"It hurts right?"

"No" he answered. Shaking my head I immediately snatch those bandages from him and grab his hand. "Hwy I told you--!!"

"Shush, it'll be faster if I help you" I expected that he will fight back but he  just remained quiet and let me do my thing. Seeing the wound surely its so damn hurt but you can't see it in his face because he is always smiling as if happiness is the thing he only feel.

After cleaning the wound and disinfect it, I wrap the bandage to the wound to stop it bleeding.

"You should be more careful next time. You know, even though you think you can do any impossible things still your body can't handle so much pain so--" I immediately stop when his head drop in my shoulder as if he fell asleep. "A-Are you--"

"Let me be, just stay put" he said. For the sec I don't know what's going on in him, sometimes he acts that he cared about me but sometimes he acts that he is Death to me.. but now, what is he thinking? Why is he napping in my shoulder while his front forehead lying on my shoulder?

"Tell me"

"Tell you what?"

"Do you still want to die?" He asks that made me pause. I still do but some part of me disagreed made me think that there are things I need to do.

"I.. still do" I answered. ".. but, there's something is stopping me and I don't even know what it is.." I added then from the bed movements I feel something fell to it. I look at my back to see Jeff's right hand holding a knife on the bed.

"Did you just try to kill me?" I ask but instead of giving me an answer he grab my right arm with his woundes hand leaving the knife on the bed and wrap his other hand to my back and hugged me tightly while burrying his face to my shoulder. I'm so shocked about whay is happening, why he's hugging me? Why did he stop to kill me?

"I did want to kill you, I really do" he said.

"Then why'd you stop?"

"Its still not the right time for that" he answered.

"Then when?"

"At the end of the month, that's gonna be your last day" and because of that I moved my arms to his back and hug him.

"Thank you" the only thing I said, atleast now I know the date.

I onlu have one week and half left.

"Sir!" A man wearing a police uniform saluted the person with a titular of Chief in his nameplate who's sitting in the chair lighting his cigar.

"What?" He angrily ask maybe because its his break in his office but just a few minutes someone barge in to ruin his rest.

"We found her" soon as he heard that words he immediately turn his swivel chair to look at the police. "Show me" then he stood up and goes out just to see the missing girl they searching for a lonh time. They went inside the room seeing a woman in her 30's looking at her laptop while typing something.

"In here sir" without any ado, he put his eyes to the video seeing a girl sitting in the bed with someone hugging her.

"Sir, we've got Y/N and you won't believe it but she's with the killer responsible for a multiple death in town and also in the Apartment Velvet" then the Chief laugh making three of the people inside this room awkwardly look at each other.

"Finally, two mice spending together but little did they know that the lion is watching" the Chief said and he was right to command his men to put some cameras in (Family's Name) house hoping the daughter will come back.

"Your order sir?" They ask and the chief grin and clenched his cigar.

"Get them" the Chief ordered and all of them start moving, dispatching some police to go the house and get those two teenager having no idea that they are being watch.

"Sir, do you think the guy she's with is--"

"Of course, what else?" He irritatedly ask then the woman shut her mouth. The chief head to the window watching his men getting into their car to go there.

"Finally, I got a chance to see you" he mumbled to himself with a face of an excitement as if itw the gift he waited for a long time.

"I got a chance to meet you.. Jeff" then he smiled.
