Chapter 16

I rush towards him as he fell to the ground unconscious. His hair covered his face as he lie down and I don't have time to wake him up when the ground start to shake as Slendrina screams. Now I do understand why she's attacking us, she wants no one to know her secrets, even though I read her entire Diary with a purpose of knowing how can we deal with her not by gathering infos about her and spill it to others.

As I carry Jeff to my back I notice something flickering under the dry leaves. I immediately pick it up and it was my phone. What it is doing here?

Then another scream for her and the ground began shaking even more. I put it in my pocket and run away from her. I admit, he is a guy thay is why he's heavy and if I did not focus there's a chance that we stumble in the trees add the fact that the ground is shaking.

I really don't know where we are going but later on I saw a light that quite blinded my eyes, but I just ignore the fact that I'm closing my eyes and run towards it. Then someone grab my arm and pull me to them. I slowly opened my eyes and saw LJ, Candy, Slenderman and the others.

You managed to escape, child.

Slender said and I nodded with a small smile then I put down Jeff and look at the forest once again before they even closed the door.

"Slendrina.. you're not born evil, you just became one out of pain" I whispered then she turn around and before she even eyed contact to me Candy closed the door and I fell to my knees still can't believe about what happened there, and about escaping there. It's like MY nightmare.

LJ, escort Y/N to her room so she can rest.

Slender said then vanish to the thin air.

"Sure---"

"I'm on it" said Candy, cutting off LJ then lift me up. "Let's go to your room, princess" then he smiled together with his eyes.

"But Slender said I--"

"Just take care of the Killer" Candy said and lead me to my room. I look to Jeff once more because it was my first time seeing him like that, unguarded about his surrounding and unconscoious.

"Where might be his room?" I ask Candy soon as he open the door of my said room.

"Oh, the Killer?"

"Yes" I answered then went inside the door so as he then closed it.

"Maybe near to mine"

"All of you have an own room?"

"Of course!" He happily answered. I thought this place looks like a dorm where in in one room there's a two people but what am I thinking it's a big mansion.

"Okay" I said then sit down near the bed. "May I ask?"

"Sure Princess, go ahead."

"You're not a girl right?" And why the heck did I ask that? There's a pause before he laughed.

"Of course not! Why?"

"Well, your so colorful and.." actually his entire body and face is much more look like a woman than me. Looks like he is using a cream to maintain his smooth face. But because I don't have nothing to say, I slip that question out of.. nowhere.

"Well, your not the first one who think of me like that. In fact, I'm bisexual" he said then again he brought a new topic which is sexuality.

"Oh, I see" the only thing I can say. He sat down next to me while staring at my face wearing a smile.

"You know what that means right?"

"Of course" I answered ever since when I was a child I already knew about this. "You can have a romantic feeling towards your same gender and--"

"To the opposite" then he lean close while smiling. What is he doing? I move back soon as she get closer ro my face then he laughed. "Calm down, I'm not going to bite you" then giggled but still I remained sitting quite far away from him.

"Hey Candy, Slender wants to talk with you" says the man with a white mask as soon he opened the door.

"Masky? Why are you in the house?" Candy ask.

"I happen to pass by.." the mask man named Masky answered. I can't tell if he is looking at me because he just stood still without moving his head but I can sense that someone is staring at me. Then I look at Candy smiling while staring  at me. So it was Candy.

"I'm afraid I can't be with you much longer Princess" then act like he was about to cry. Then Masky walk towards him and grab his collar while heading out. "See yah later, Princess!" He said while waving and lying on the ground while Masky pulling him. I just wave back and lie down in my bed looking at the gorgeous ceiling.

I take a deep breath and suddenly remembered my phone. I took it out from my pocket and saw a message from my doctor. It was Caitlyn.. I put it down placing in my chest as I think of what should I do next.

Should I reply to her? Or just ignore it?

And how on earth that my phone is in there? Could it be.. Jeff? If its him then why did he do it?

"Why don't you take a peek to the message?" I nearly jump out from my bed soon I heard that voice. I look at him while sitting like a frog in the window then went in after a coulple of seconds.

"Where did you get it?"

"Think where I could possibly get it?" Then put his both hands in his pockets.

"In the police department.." I mumbled. ".. but why?" I ask but he just shrugged and stared at me. I really don't know what to say but I want to break this silence so..

"Thank you.."

"What?"

".. for this, thank you" I said while lifting up my phone.

"Its not my intention to--"

"I know.. I know, you did this to make me suffer or whatever.. but still, thank you. Thank you for this, Jeff" I said then move my lips to smile at him but he didn't give me any response he just stand there staring at me but his shoulder fell down and then after a milisecond he looked away.

"Anyway, woman.. why did you do that?"

"Do what?" I ask while confused. If he is talking about me smiling then what's wrong with that? I just want to show him that I'm still grateful for what he did because I'm sure its tough to get this piece of evidence.

"Back there in the woods.. you can just leave me there but you chose to not leave me.. why?" He asked. Based on his tone it feels like its the first time that someone did that to him or.. it was a very long time since it happened to him.. staying with him and even save him.

"Why would I not? Why would I leave you there?" Then I came near him. "You even followed me so I can't be alone in that woods. So why would I leave someone who cared about me?" Then after I said this he immediatly moves his body grab my nape and pull it to make our face closer to each other.

"I did not care about you.." he said then.

"I don't care but thats what I feel" I answered then he gritted his teeth and trying to say something but he gave up and push me away.

"Make sure that phone is worth of my effort" he said before slamming the door shut.
