Winter drove the lorry through the entrance before swerving it across to neighbouring exit, cutting off the lorry that was about to leave. Shouts of Romanian came from the leader of the operation, jumping from the lorry and glaring at the truck, not realising who was inside. Winter and Nova hopped out and his eyes widened in shock.

Winter shot him first, his employees getting out of the lorry, some running into the other room to try and get to the exit but Nova shot them all before they could get away, her gun empty of ammo when all of them where dead on the floor, the ones still alive not daring to move because of the two assassins.

Nova pulled a few knives from her suit, throwing them at two men, the blades impaling their skulls. Winter shot at the others, them falling dead as she went back to grab her knives. With everyone dead and their mission done, Winter got back into the lorry, Nova going into the other one, both of them in one drivers seat.

Nova started the engine up, placing her hands on the steering wheel and following Winter as he drove out of the warehouse, down the road. They drove back towards where the jet was, getting out of the trucks. They then started to load up the boxes into the jet, the agent inside helping them bring them into the jet.

Once every box was inside, Winter moved to the pilot seat and started to fly the jet back, Nova strapping herself into a seat, the agent opposite her. Leaning her head back, she listened to the sound of Live Wire, the music soothing her. The agent looked at her hand in confusion before speaking up.

"What the fuck is that for?" He asked, gesturing to the pine cone she was stuffing in her suit. She didn't say anything. "Hey! I'm speaking! What's that for?"

"Nothing." Nova mumbled back, eyes still closed, Jenny's pie cone safely stored away now. "Just for memories, I guess."

"Memories of murder?" The agent scoffed. "I suppose we don't have to worry about you escaping. You seem to enjoy this more than anyone."

"Shut up." Nova muttered, tired: she hadn't slept much the night before and had been on three back-to-back missions.

"You don't give the orders around here." The agent snapped, reaching over to slap her.

"Neither do you." Winter stated, even his authority higher than the new agent's.

"You're lucky he's here. Soon, his brain'll be in a blender again." The agent murmured and Nova's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, watching as Winter stiffened at the thought.

The jet landed back in the Red Room, all of them getting out and starting to bring the boxes inside, taking them towards Dreykov's office. Placing them on the floor, Nova stiffened when a bang sounded on the inside of one and her eyes widened. Tearing off the lid, Dreykov watched in disappointment as a man stood up from the large box, hands shaking. Reaching over, Nova snapped his neck quickly, his body slumping and half falling out of the box, limp.

"You made a mistake." Dreykov glared and Nova straightened her posture, preparing for some sort of blade to cut her skin. "We cannot afford mistake's, Nova, do you get that?"

"Yes, I get that." Nova nodded.

"Stay here." Dreykov ordered, leaving his office with Winter and the agent.

Nova waiting for him to come back, standing beside the dead body next to her, unmoving and nervous for what was going to happen. When Dreykov came back, Nova looked across seeing Winter and then her heart dropped. Lily.

"Madam B thinks you can be the best." Dreykov started, Lily looking in confusion and fear. "However, you slipped up-"

"Once." Nova butted in, head flipping to the side at the backhand the Russian man delivered, Lily wincing.

"You won't get better unless you know the consequences." Dreykov continued. "You have some. Stutter, we slit your throat again. Fail at training, you get cut. Talk back, you get hit. Something isn't sticking with you. And how better to make it stick? Kill the things that matter to you."

"No." Nova said anxiously and Lily gathered why she was there. "No, I won't make a mistake again. I promise."

"Promise's don't mean anything." Dreykov shrugged. "Soldier, give me your gun." He did and Nova glared at him.

When Nova went to look away, Dreykov grabbed the top of her head harshly, making her look at Lily who was shaking, terrified. A single shot sounded and Nova flinched for the first time in years, hearing Lily's body hit the ground.

"Where is your place in the world?" Dreykov asked and she didn't reply, swallowing thickly so Dreykov raised his voice. "Where if you place in the world?!"

"I have no place in the world." Nova sighed shakily, stumbling when Dreykov shoved her away, gesturing for her to leave.

She did so, moving quickly down the halls back to her dorm. When she heard footsteps behind her, she slammed the door but Winter pushed it back open. Spinning to face him, she started to punch him in the stomach harshly, him grunting and grabbing her shoulders to gently push her back but she forced his arms down, using force to bend his flesh one almost too far.

"You did nothing." Nova hissed, eyes filling up.

"I couldn't." Winter replied and she pushed his arm back further. "Nova, neither of us could."

"I killed my best friend." Nova breathed angrily. "I might as well have held the fucking gun."

"You couldn't stop what happened." Winter tried.

"I could've done better." She whimpered, loosening her grip. "She's dead 'cause of me. I did it. Me. It's my fault."

"It's not." He replied, wiping her tear away when one fell but she slapped his hand away, a weak sob going through her body.

"I'm so tired." Nova whispered, leaning into his body hesitantly and his hand lifted to the back of her head, keeping her close. "I'm tired."
