Zipping up her suit, Nova made her way down to the training room and spotted Winter waiting for her. She gave him a small smile and he nodded slightly at her in greeting, holding a small knife in his hand.

The soldier left it a second before charging for her, slashing the knife and Nova dodged it immediately. When he took another slash at her, Nova rolled onto the floor, swiping his legs out from under him with hers.

"You ain't even tryin', Winter." Nova chuckled, standing as she pushed himself up off the floor. "C'mon, my training's supposed to be harder now!"

Rolling his eyes jokingly, Winter stepped back and waited for her to make the first move. When she saw he wouldn't, she sprang forwards and punched him in the face, kicking him in the side and then jumping, spinning in the air and kicking him across the face, landing on her feet with a laugh.

"Really, c'mon, what's up with you?" Nova asked. "Is it your time of the month?"

"No, I'm just going easy on you because I'll win." Winter responded and she raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, big man. No more faking your fails." Nova ordered and he nodded, the pair stepping away from each other.

Instead of waiting, they ran at each other, Nova ducking when he swung his flesh fist at her face. The teenager landed a few punches to his abdomen, lifting an arm and wrapping it around his neck, his head in the crook of her elbow. She squeezed his neck, bringing his torso down and kneeing him in the stomach a few times, knowing he would easily recover from the blows.

Winter placed his metal and on her inner thigh and pushed, forcing her legs to split, making her arm fall from his neck. He then flipped the blade, placing it to her neck and Nova grinned back at him, pulling a knife from her own suit and holding it to his throat.

"I would've killed you before you could do that, y'know?" Winter stated.

"Maybe." Nova hummed. "But you'd never stab me. I'm too precious. Like an angel."

"The spawn of Satan, more likely." Winter shot back and she hummed, nodding in agreement as they lowered their weapons, standing back again. "You take your meds?"

"Worried about me?" Nova gasped and he gave her a blank stare. "God, so boring. Yes, I took my meds. Can we fight now? I wanna beat you."

Nova jumped, folding her legs to her chest when Winter took a slash at her legs, ducking to the floor and rolling out of the way when he aimed higher for her. He span around as she stood up behind him, slashing the knife again, Nova bending her back to dodge the blade. They continued to move back, nearing the piano in the room.

"Inconvenience." Nova grunted, jumping backwards, planting her heels on the top of the piano and jumping off the other side.

"I thought we were fighting. You're making this easy." Winter stated as she moved out of the way of another slash.

"Because you're so old. I didn't want you to break a hip." Nova smirked.

"Hey, I'm, like, 27." Winter mumbled, grunting when she kicked his stomach harshly.

"You don't know how old you are?" Nova asked and he shook his head while she punched him in the face. "Is it because I keep winning and beating the shit out of you?"

"Whatever helps you sleep at night." The soldier nearly smiled at her smirk.

Laughing quietly, Nova quickly grabbed Winter's wrist, which was holding the knife, blocking his flesh hand which was about to punch her with her forearm. She forced his metal arm to bend in a way it shouldn't and his hand spasmed, the knife dropping which she caught, hlding the pointed tip to his stomach.

"Dead." Nova beamed.

"How do you manage to do that voodoo shit with my arm?" Winter questioned, rolling his shoulder and everything clicked back into place.

"I'm the one that always puts it back together. I know how it works." Nova shrugged. "One more round, c'mon."

He nodded, going to punch her and she moved out of the way, blocking his attacks with her arm. When her boot lifted, she forced it into the crook of his elbow, pushing him to the floor and when he tried to pull up, she curled her legs around his neck, pulling them both to the floor, her thighs cutting off his air.

The soldier grunted, hands gripping her thighs but she didn't budge, only tightening her muscles, smiling down at him. With another eye roll, Winter tapped her thigh twice and she let go, allowing him to breath. Standing up with an achieved grin, Nova pulled the soldier up with her.

"I win, again." Nova stated, letting go of his hand and moving to the door.

"Shit." Winter muttered when he saw Madam B walking down the hall with some other soldiers, going in the opposite direction to the dorms where the new girls were. "They're doing dorm inspections again."

"Again? I'm tired of having to get slapped when they find my weed." Nova grumbled as he grabbed her shoulder, leading her back to her dorm.

"Maybe don't have a smoke after your missions then. You could die." Winter suggested and she scoffed.

"I could die every day I'm in this place and not in this place." Nova mumbled as she shoved open the dorm room, immediately hiding Jenny's pinecones in the floorboards she'd cut out in the night.

"They're inserting cameras this time. You can't go back in that floorboard to get them." Winter told her and she sighed.

"Then they'll stay there under my bed until I die here. Fuck, Peach." Nova grumbled, pulling the teddy from her drawers. "Take him."

"What? Why do you even still have that?" Winter asked as she shoved the Kiwi teddy at him.

"I don't know. Makes something a little normal around here." Nova shrugged. "You take him."

"Where am I supposed to put him?" Winter quizzed hurriedly as he heard distant footsteps.

"You 'ave a knob. Shove it down your trousers. They won't ask. They'll just think... 'Ugh'. Why would anyone ask? You'd just think, 'ugh!'" Nova suggested as the doorknob turned. "Hurry up."

"What are you talking about in here?" Madam B demanded, luckily coming in after he had put the teddy in his trousers.

"Training, Madam B." Nova responded, face blanking of emotion now that she had no reason to be happy or feel.

"Okay." The Russian nodded, believing her. "Soldier, you have a mission and Nova, it's lunchtime. Go."

"Yes." They both nodded, leaving the room quickly while the soldiers started to put in the cameras.

"I hate you." Winter grumbled, lying.

"Thanks!"
