"Where are my grandchildren?" Madame Auclair questioned as she entered through the front door of the Auclair Mansion. Athena was already running to embrace her grandparents into a hug. Her brothers whipped their heads toward their grandparents with wide smiles on their faces. Atlas and Damon started running towards them with Corvus tidying himself as he walked over.
"Merlin, you have grown so much." Madam Auclair said as she pinched the cheeks of the twins. The twins tried to remove themselves from the pinches but were instead pampered with kisses by both their grandparents.
"Wow Mama, what about giving some of that love to your daughter instead of all of it on my children?" Camille scoffed as she entered the living room. Monsieur Auclair chuckled as he walked to his daughter with wide arms. She walked towards her parents and embraced them in hugs.
"Good to see you too my darling." Monsieur Auclair said as he pampered his daughter in kisses. "Where's your brother and Lucian?"
"Lucian is on his way with Mother, about three hours or so. Christopher is also on his way from America. Christopher probably gonna come here on a dragon, he's dramatic and all."
"Dragon?" Corvus perked up as he heard his mother. Camille chuckled as she knew that her oldest son is obsessed with magical creatures, especially Dragons.
"We've got you some gifts, some for Christmas and some just for fun." Monsieur Auclair said as he summoned the gifts.
"Papa! Stop spoiling my children!" Camille declared.
"Camille, we can do whatever we want for our grandchildren," Madame Auclair said as she handed the gifts to her grandchildren. Camille rolled her eyes and sigh in defeat as she watched her children faces lit up upon receiving the gifts. Madame Auclair set the Christmas gifts under the enormous tree that was set for the Biennial Auclair Yule Ball.
The Auclair Yule Ball was usually held every year, it was changed to once every two years when Camille married Lucian. It was the same for the Ashryver Yule Ball. Not everyone can attend the two families Yule Ball. Those who received the invitation, are lucky and privileged to attend. The guest list never remained the same except for a few family names, like some of the pureblood families.
Yes, indeed, the Ashryvers and Auclairs do not care about blood supremacy but it is good for them to have good relations with powerful families such as the purebloods, no matter how big their belief in purebloods being superior is.
