"So, cousin, how is life for you?" Athena asked as the two walked around the streets of Oxford, Johnathan following right behind.
"Pretty good; training is tough, but I can handle it."
"Course you can." Tonks turned around to look at the French Auror. "Why are the French so hot?"
"Thanks-Thank you." Athena and Johnathan smirked as they gave winks to the British.
"Right, I forgot you are half-French," Tonks murmured as she rolled her eyes.
"I will try not to be offended by that," Athena grumbled. So the two women went on, with Johnathan being dragged into the conversation from time to time. Talking about school, work and so on.
They told Johnathan how they were related since he was intrigued. Athena had to draw out her family tree because it was so perplexing. The Ashryvers are related to many pureblooded lineages, thanks to arranged marriages in some cases. Traditional arranged marriages came to an end when Micheal fell in love. The family's view on blood supremacy changed thanks to the very man that fell in love.

Elizabeth (nee Black) Ashryver was the twin sister of Alphard Black. She wasn't particularly close to her family because they believed in blood supremacy. She hid her beliefs from her family, except for her twin, Alphard. Elizabeth was not burned off the family's tapestry when she married Micheal Ashryver because the Ashryvers were not considered blood traitors by the Blacks.
The Widow felt so much guilt when she watched her family members get burned off from the family tapestry. Her niece, her nephew and then her brother.
But she was ensured by her twin brother that it was okay.

Let's say the family tree is a fucking mess. In some way, the Ashryvers are related to the pureblood families.
In other words, the purebloods are related to one another in ways they are not fond of.
