"Ava! You can't do it like that!" Athena wailed as she took plates out of her hands. Ava turned to look over at Damon with a frown. Damon was already frowning, taking the cutleries from Olivier.
"They have a very meticulous way of setting for dinner." Angel voiced as she handed Corvus the glasses. Elizabeth snickered as she watched all four of her grandchildren get fussy with their significant others because of their particular way of setting up their table. Ava and Olivier looked at the siblings questioningly before looking at Angel and Fleur. "Yeah, I learned it the hard way."
"Oh yeah, I cook while she sets up." Fleur sighed before joining Athena in the kitchen.
"I will whack you," Atlas huffed at Olivier, who set up the tablecloths wrong. Olivier gave him a confused look before Atlas pulled out his wand to let the tablecloths fold themselves and settle on the plates. Angel laughed as she patted Olivier's shoulder.
On the other hand, Elizabeth couldn't believe that all four of her little ones had someone. One is getting married in two weeks; one plans to propose, especially after spending so long with one another in the middle east and only had Charlie and Christopher; two had been in long-term relationships.
It was like seeing her children again.
"Gran, here's some tea," Athena offered, snapping her out of her little world. Elizabeth gave a soft smile before Athena placed a kiss on her cheek. "A sense of deja vu, I supposed?"
"Yes, it is. You reminded me of your Father and Camille. Too many similarities."
Athena burst into laughter, knowing that many people had remarked about her and Fleur being too much like their parents. Whether the Ashryvers or the Delacours. Fleur peaked her head into the living room after hearing Athena's laughter. Athena had put on her coat and was helping Elizabeth with hers.
"Frenchy!"
"Yeah?" Fleur answered, headed towards Athena as Olivier took over the cooking with Corvus. Damon was explaining to Ava how they usually set up their table while Angel and Atlas were enjoying some wine and firewhiskey. "Where are you going?"
"Heading out for a walk, grabbing a bit of firewood." Fleur looked at her with raised eyebrows, slightly confused, especially when there was enough firewood to last for the next year. "You'll see how hot I look when I chop them up with no magic. Muscles and everything."
"Oh really?" Athena grinned in return and kissed her forehead before hooking her arm with Elizabeth. Fleur licked her lips and bit her lip, receiving a wink from Athena. "Fucking tease."
"Who's a tease?" Angel asked, joining her in the living room with two glasses of wine.
"My wife." Angel jerked her head to the side, having not much idea about Athena except what Corvus had told her. Fleur accepted the glass of wine and sat down, making a comfortable space for her senior. "How's life as a Magizoologist?"
