The sky was gravel-grey, large pillows of cloud formed and blocking out the old-gold colour of the sun. Some students received the first splatter of rain when they walked around the grounds, hoping that the rain would not ruin their plans.

The rain had the intention to ruin their plans, after all.

It rarely rains during May at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, but today was an exception. Students complain about the rain as it gets heavier and heavier in such a short period.

Fleur used to hate rainy days because the rain permanently ruined her plans, whether it was an outing or a small Quidditch practice. However, the hate for rain changed when she learned that her British buddy loved the rain.

Fleur grew to love the rain for the same reasons Athena loves it. The smell of the rain, the peace it can give a person and the rain's sound as it hits the windows. It was peace for Athena, and another reason was that she got to stay in bed.

Fleur may have loved the rain, but she still hates it when it ruins her plans.

Fleur is currently spending her afternoon on the floor of her apartment, a book in one hand and the other fidgeting with her ring. The one and only Athena Ashryver gifted both. Fleur was muttering complaints to herself that she had cancelled her plans. One of her complaints was why Athena took more than a month to write back.

"Fleur! Je suis ici!(Fleur! I'm here!)" Danielle announced as she barged into Fleur's apartment with a bag of ingredients. Fleur sat up and gave her best friend a questioning look when she saw the bag. "Athena sent me the recipe for the tomato basil soup...that she liked to have when it's raining. I was told you liked it too."

"Athena t'a écrit ? Quand?(Athena wrote to you? When?)"

"Just last week. She told me that her brothers and some of her friends are forcing her to study with them for their upcoming examinations. That's why she hasn't written back to you..." Danielle cocked her head to the side and sent a mental question to the Quarter Veela for some help. Fleur gave her a pout as she set her book on her coffee table and headed over to the kitchen. Danielle smirked and emphasises, "Don't worry, I don't think your Cherie would forget about you that easily."

Fleur scoffed as Danielle handed her the recipe. Danielle quirked her eyebrow up in amusement and slowly laid out the ingredients on the counters, closely watching Fleur as she read through the recipe and its exact steps.

Fleur missed Athena a lot, honestly. As she read through the recipe, she reminisced about her memories with Athena when they made the soup on rainy days or on chilly days when Athena won their arguments about staying in their apartments.
