"Mini Auclair! What are you doing here?" Elaine asked, excited to see Athena, as did everyone else.
"She got suspended," Apolline voiced.
"An Auclair getting suspended is not surprising." Chloe reminded me as she handed the stack of papers to Athena. Athena was baffled, and she skimmed through the documents as Apolline made her way to the bureau after nodding in agreement. "Your mother decided not to punish you, but I am. So paperwork for you, if you are lucky, maybe you get to join missions."
"Wait, wait, why? Why would you do that? Which other Auclair got suspended?" Athena questioned as she set the paperwork down on Elaine's desk. Elaine snickered, looking at the ridiculous amount of paperwork that Athena would be stuck doing.
"Your mother and her siblings. Even before her generation, there's a few." Chloe explained as she flipped through her files, sparing a glance at Athena, who had an amused smile on her face. "Never get punished that much. So you get paperwork because you hate to do it the most."
"Okay..." Athena sighed.
"No need to be so down; you have your own office!" Ines chimed, handing her an iced mocha. Athena doesn't drink that coffee that often, but when she does, it's mocha, not pure coffee. She's still a kid, after all.
"Damn, a kid is getting promoted before I did," Théo exclaimed, passing Elaine some coffee.
"So you two finally got together," Athena smirked while fidgeting with her papers.
"How did you know?" Théo stammered before receiving a smack in the head.
"Now I know." Athena laughed, picking up her dreaded paperwork and following Ines to her new office.
"You can see everyone from our offices, and I doubt that won't be a problem whether you or not. Thanks to the Auclair's gift, you know who's here and who's not." Ines informed, opening the door to Athena's office.
"Isn't it a little too spacious?"
"It's about the same size as the other captains. Have you seen ours? The best and unique thing about yours is you are closer to Chloe and me, which is brightly lit and beautifully decorated and" —with a flick of her wrist, the wall behind her chair changed into an invisible shield, or so she thought, showing the mystical residents. Athena walked towards the glass wall, smiling and amazed at the view, and she didn't even know how to describe it. It was just magical, coming from a witch— "that. This office previously belonged to your mother, her father, her grandfather and her great-grandfather. You get the gist of it."
"Ah, you showed her the extraordinary magic of the office." Camille voiced, shutting the door. Athena's eyes lit up even more when she saw some movement.
