The Ashryver-Auclair Siblings were roaming around the school grounds with their buddies. Surprisingly, they had finished their Potions class an hour early since they had finished the required work. Their friends left them to be so that they could study for the upcoming test or nap or would find them later.
"Honestly, Nicky, if you like her, go for it. Where's all that charm?" Athena teased as she elbowed his side. They received a lot of attention; the powder blue uniforms of different designs were easy to catch among the black robes of the Hogwarts students. And they are speaking French. And they are very comfortable with the Ashryvers.
"Because of you two—" Nicholas huffed as he pointed between Athena and Fleur, which boosted their ego. "—everyone has their eyes for you."
"But you still had that charm when we were at the Academy." Damon chimed as he shared snacks with Atlas and Mattheo. Athena was handed some oranges by Nicholas, who hoped that would shut at least one of the Ashryver-Auclairs.
Nope, it didn't work.
"Come on, Nicky. Why so shy?"
"She is your best friend, for Merlin's sake," Nicholas sighed in defeat as grins appeared on the Ashryver-Auclairs faces while Fleur and Mattheo shook their heads. "She is beautiful, kind and cheerful, and Merlin, is brilliant."
"Oooh, lover boy here is falling hard," Atlas teased before receiving a whack from Nicholas and laughter from his group. With the noise level from the group, they received even more attention. Those without dates still had hoped that any of the Ashryver or Delacour group would ask them or accept them as their dates.
Their hopes are spread thin.
There are 12 of them, the Ashryver and Delacour groups combined. Nine already had dates, whether platonic or not, and the other three were waiting.
To be more precise:
Athena Ashryver is going with Fleur Delacour, and no one has any idea that they have been dating since their sixth year and have been friends for longer unless you are the majority of the seventh year or Prefects or the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Atlas Ashryver's date is Michelle Toussaint; they are going as friends since their significant others are back at the Academy or have graduated. Damon Ashyrver is going with the infamous Slytherin's Princess, Ava Lewis; they are practically the Slytherin's royalty.
Janelle Lyon's date is Mattheo Russo; Athena wasn't the only that had forgotten about the Yule Ball. Janelle asked him instead; they had been dating since their fourth year. Audrey Garnier is going with a girl from the Durmstrang delegation, and they are swooning over one another, which is surprising because no one had expected it, according to Athena. Danielle reluctantly goes with Rodger Davies so that he would stop bothering her best friend and Athena; at least, he is excellent to look at.
