My sister and I were watching Back to the Future.
Little sis was very insightful, and noted that the mall in Back to the Future is called "Twin Pines"- immediately we thought of Dipper and Mabel.
Additionally, in BttF, (when Marty is time-traveling) he runs over one of the trees. This changes the future, and the mall's name is changed to 'lone pine'. Might this indicate that something will happen to one of the twins?
We've also seen a whole episode on time travel already, and know that the show is keen on its pop culture references. Could this be of any significance?"
Ahahaha, I LOVE this one! :D I'm also a super duper huge Back to the Future fan, so the thought that they'd be making subtle references like this is AWESOME.
