     [Underestimated]

It was December 27th, 11:59 am. Me, Shancai and Liang Wei sat on the floor in a triangle, my phone in the middle. "It's almost time..." I said while staring at my phone. Everytime the screen went dark, we all rushed to turn it back on. I can't miss this email.

"12:00!" Shancai yelled. I grabbed my phone, refreshed my email about 3000 times before the email finally showed up. "Pledis Entertainment: Makeup artist Position Application Results" That was the email I've been waiting for, the one that wouldn't let me sleep at night. "You guys look first! I can't!" I said while giving the phone to them. I covered my eyes while they scrolled through the email. "So much useless information.." Liang Wei complained. It went silent for a few seconds. "Oh my god..." Shancai said, sounding pretty stunned. "I'm so sorry, Xiaohua." Liang Wei added. I quickly opened my eyes and looked at the email, afraid that I was rejected.

"Congratulations, Ms. Li! You've been accepted to work as SEVENTEEN Joshua's Makeup artist at Pledis Entertainment! We have funded your flight to Korea on January 3rd and we are very excited to start working with you!"

I dropped my phone in shock, it felt like I was about to have a heart attack. "Oh my god..." I said while staring at the two. They pulled me into a hug. "Congrats, Xiaohua!"

I walked through the halls for the last time, the last time before I'd go to my dream place. I passed by the art studio and decided to look inside one last time. The wall. It was finally completed. I walked by it, examining each artwork carefully. My fingers traced the pieces of art while I admired each of them. My eyes averted to the dress, the one that I painted to remember that special week. "I should wear it tomorrow." I said to myself. I haven't worn it at all ever since that day with Jun.

"Xiaohua, do well for me, okay?" My mom said as her eyes began filling with tears. "Ma~~ I'll do my best. You don't need to worry about me." "XIAOHUA!!!!" Some familiar voices shouted from afar. Shancai and Liang Wei ran into me and hugged me. "Don't forget us, okay???" Shancai said while panting. I looked down at my dress, holding in tears. "How can I possibly forget you guys? I'll keep in touch." I said while ruffling their hair. "I should get going now! Bye everyone!!" I yelled while turning back to the boarding gate. "Bye, loser!" I heard Yan yell. Gosh, how annoying.

I spent day and night practicing and learning Korean with Jun over call. Guess it was worth it. But I still wasn't that good at it, although I could manage having a decent conversation with someone. And according to Jun, I was really good at writing in Korean. But it's honestly really confusing for me.

I sat on the plane and fidgeted in my seat. The nervous yet excited feeling kept my heart beating at a fast pace. I opened the game that Minghao showed me a while ago, hopefully distracting me from the nervousness. Jun was online.

     ;hii.

I texted him in-game.

     ;oh hey! what's up?

I still haven't told him the news yet.

     ;i'm on a plane right now :)

;oh really???

;do you know where i'm going ?

;where? OH WAIT

     ;hm ?

;DID YOU GET THE JOB???

     ;[smiley face]

I left it at that and then closed my eyes. It'll be a long ride.

I woke up right on time, the plane was landing right about now. I soon grabbed my suitcases and exited the plane. 5:03 am. Time to see my new apartment, and then I'll go visit the Pledis building.

I took a taxi to my apartment, which was not too far away from the Pledis building. "Level 7, room 706." I told myself while waiting for the elevator.

The apartment complex was big. It had a lot of space for me to ponder, practice, and maybe even paint from time to time. I found my way to my bedroom, which was also quite big. How wonderful. Books and albums on the shelf, clothes in the closet, bed made. All done in 9 minutes. Faster than last time. I changed into a more professional outfit and walked to the building.

I stared at the large doors, stressing a bit. "Yup, this is it." I sighed. Since it was my first time, I felt a bit nervous. And even though I got the position, I still felt worried since I had no experience. Glancing through the large glass windows, I saw a woman walking near the doors and smiling at me. She opened the door and signaled for me to come in. "Hello," she said, "Are you the new makeup artist?" I nodded and she led the way to the main office. I was instructed to sign a few papers and they made me do some models' make-up to evaluate my skills.

"It looks great!" The guy told me. He then led me to another office where some others were working as well. "This will be your desk," he said while pointing at it, "almost like your second home, and when you're not doing makeup, you'll be creating clothing designs for our tailor to make." I nodded. The clothing design part was something they added in when they found out I was an artist. Designers and artists are two different things, but it's not like I couldn't do it. Plus, they increased my pay as well. The guy then walked out, leaving me to do anything honestly. Since it was my first day, they didn't assign me anything to do. Just to explore the building.

I walked through many halls when I found the practice rooms. I looked through one of the large glass windows and saw the Vocal team, I guess they were practicing a song when they spotted me. "Come in." Joshua welcomed me. I removed my heels to prevent scratching the floor. To be honest, the room smelled like sweat and it was really humid. But I didn't really mind it. "You're Jun's friend, right?" Jeonghan asked me, and this time I was able to respond. "Yeah, and I'm also the new makeup artist for Joshua." I responded. Jeonghan nodded while drinking some water. "You're prettier than the last one." he added. I giggled a bit. That's funny, because I completely convinced myself that I was the ugliest person in the world. I'm touched.

I soon started exploring again and came across the Performance team. Their moves were slicker than me when I try to sneak out. My breath was taken away.

"XIAOHUA?!" I heard Jun yell as I came back to reality. He opened the door and wrapped his arm around me. "You should have told me earlier!!!" he said while welcoming me in."Wanna see the dance we've been working on for our comeback?" Minghao asked me. "Sure." I replied while leaning on the wall. They began dancing, and of course, it was perfect. It's Seventeen we're talking about here.

"How do you like the building?" Hoshi asked me. "It's big." I emphasized. "I can show you around if you'd like!" Hoshi stood up energetically. I nodded as I stood up as well. "Let's goo~~"

Hoshi showed me around the building while we talked. Just about random things. And then I heard Home playing in the background, I had to dance to it. That's just how I am. "Woowww~~ Xiaohua! That was really good! Have you ever considered dancing?" Hoshi said, somewhat impressed looking. "Not really, I think that I'm not that good." I said while looking down to my shoes. "Xiaohua, you're underestimating yourself." Hoshi said while putting an arm around me. We entered the snack room, where there were some packs of ramen. "Waaa, I'm hungry now!" I said while admiring the precious food. "Me too~ Let's eat something." Hoshi agreed. We cooked some ramen while listening to some songs.

     "Ahh. That was good." Hoshi said while patting his stomach." I should exercise later." I was about to say something when a burp interrupted me. I quickly covered my mouth while Hoshi bursted out laughing. "Sorry," I said while giggling. Hoshi kept teasing me as we walked back to the practice room. Why did I eat so much in the first place ;_;
