Jun almost smiled in his seat while I frowned. "Hey, Xiaohua! What happened back there?" The manager scolded me. "I'm not sure..." That's a lie. I'm perfectly aware of the situation right now, but it's better that I keep quiet. The manager ran out of the room, probably to find Minghao. I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration, feeling the stares of some others. What a great start to my day.
"Are you alright, Xiao?" Seonghee broke the silence. "Mhm. I'm just hoping that we can get this done soon." Minghao was talking to the manager in the hallway. I hope I didn't cause any trouble. Might get another scolding again.
11:45. Minghao still wasn't back yet, and almost everyone was done. The manager was also missing. Might as well go now, not like they need me anyway.
I walked through the hallway, straight to my room. I also was very wary of my surroundings, just in case Minghao was there. I cannot bump into him again.
I scrolled through my phone on the couch, my feed filled with that picture of Liang Wei and Jun. "But it really is just a hug..." I whispered to myself in jealousy.
"Xiao~..." Seonghee's voice mumbled as the door creaked open. I turned to her direction, she was panting. "What's wrong?" I questioned while standing up. "Manager... needs..." She pointed at me while catching her breath. God, don't tell me that I'm gonna get another scolding again.
I followed her back to the dressing room. Everyone was still there, including Minghao.
"Based on the results of your work..." I took a deep breath in, hoping that I wouldn't be his makeup artist. Please universe, please don't let it be me.
"Xiaohua..."
I'm not even going to listen anymore. I zoned out on the spot, trying to think of another impulsive thought. At least this way, I won't have to hear him say it. I'm sure that Minghao had something to do with this.
Jun swore under his breath while Seonghee and a few others rushed up to me and congratulated me. But this is no time to be happy.

"Xiaohua!" A yell came from across the hallway. It was Wonwoo and Joshua. "Hi~!" I tried to sound more enthusiastic, but I really couldn't. And I can't help but worry about Jun. He seemed really upset earlier. Should I just give my job to someone else?
Me and Wonwoo sat on the couch of Joshua's room while he made some coffee for us. "I was actually really surprised earlier." Wonwoo spoke. I gave him a confused face. "Why?"
"Well, I thought it was girl code or something to not date your best friend's ex." My eyes widened. He's right, he's right! I slapped my forehead. Stupid Xiaohua, this might make Liang Wei even more upset at me than she was before!
I guess Wonwoo had noticed my worrying since he nodded to himself while checking something on his phone. "But there's nothing we can do about it now, right?"
Joshua returned to the couch with three mugs in his hands. "Hyung, be careful with those!" Wonwoo shouted a bit, lending a hand out to help him. Joshua laughed off to himself while handing him one of the mugs. "Here you go, Hua."
Joshua elbowed me while taking a sip out of his coffee. "You're dating Jun?" He questioned while smirking. "I guess so..." I sounded hesitant, like something was bothering me. Joshua gave me a look. "Ehhh... You don't have to pretend that you don't like it." I let out a chuckle, spitting out a bit of my coffee. Wonwoo let out a laugh. "Classic Xiaohua. It's so easy to make her laugh."
"But Xiaohua, what happened with Minghao?" Wonwoo asked, Joshua watching something on his phone. I let out a sigh. "Promise not to tell anyone." He stuck up his pinky, probably waiting for mine. "Pinky promise."
