[Rumor]

I walked back and forth in the dreadful hallway, waiting for the good (or bad) news to come out. Please don't die... I thought to myself.

——

(five hours ago...)

"Jun, we're saved." I whispered while cuddling him in my arms, keeping a weak smile on my face. But I had received no response in return. "Jun?" I tapped his head lightly. Still nothing.

The paramedics took him away in a bed. They did with me too, even though I had assured them that I was fine about a billion times. All I needed was to know that Jun was okay.

"I'm fine!" I yelled as the nurse wiped alcohol on my wounds. That stinged. "Miss, we need to disinfect your wounds first." She insisted. I gave her a frown. "Is," I paused for a second, "is Jun okay?" She took a long sigh, but didn't respond. Please don't tell me he's dead. The main character can't die!!!!

"Ms. Li, please rest for a day or so. Your wounds haven't fully healed." The nurse suggested as she walked out the door. I scoffed. "As if."

——

A doctor walked out of the room, stunned to see me there. "Shouldn't you be resting?" He questioned. I shook my head while moving my legs. "I'm fine, see?" He gave me a suspicious look before walking away. "Wait!" I yelled. He turned around. "Hm?"

"How's Jun?"

He exhaled deeply. God, don't tell me... "He's conscious, but don't bother him too much, okay?" My eyes widened. YES!!! I crashed into the room, completely ignoring the doctor's advice earlier. "JUN!" I exclaimed while my eyes scanned the room. "Gosh, Xiaohua, you scared me." He patted his heart while I ran up to him, squeezing him tightly. "Ow- Xiaohua-" "I THOUGHT YOU DIED!" I loosened my grip a bit. "Of course not. I'm Jun." I wanted to roll my eyes at his confidence, but I guess I shouldn't, considering that he's still recovering and all.

——

5:48. I finally took a rest at the park and sat on one of the swings while eating some ice cream. God, the past few days have been eventful. Carats were worried sick when Pledis posted about Jun. Obviously, they didn't tell them that he got into that crazy fight, but I'd be worried as well if I found out that my favorite idol was recovering over a "dog attack" in the hospital. We, and when I say we I mean me, got a hefty scolding from both our managers. I guess I do deserve it.

The evening breeze blew against me while melted ice cream dripped across my chin. "Hua!!" A voice yelled from the distance. I squinted my eyes and focused them onto the tiny figure. It was Jun. He sat down next to me on the other swing. "Oh, you have something here-" I looked at him in confusion as he took the tissue I was holding and wiped off the ice cream that was dripping down my chin. "There you go." At that moment, something was urging me to do something, bad. Like really, really, bad. But, you only live once, right...?

"Jun, can you grant me that wish yet?"

Without waiting for an answer, I pulled him by the collar and well, I guess you could infer what happened next. I'm surprised that he didn't pull away when I did that. His eyes widened and then closed as I softly placed my lips on his, since words couldn't just do it for themselves. (or maybe I was just really desperate.) Our lips moved in sync while my arm snaked around his neck. That was bold.

We passionately kissed, his arm shyly crawling around my waist. I smirked against his lips. Does this mean he likes me back?

Unfortunately, we broke the kiss and he quickly swerved back onto the swing. I averted my gaze away from him, secretly blushing. "Xiao- Xiaohua." He stuttered, still avoiding all contact with me. How cute. "Hm?" I questioned. He took a deep breath in, loud enough for me to hear. And when he let it out, the words came tumbling along with it.
