["We meet again."]

The next few days went by fast. The same cycle repeated everyday. Eat, sleep, cry, repeat. That's how it was for Xiaohua. And she didn't dare to go back home. She knew how her parents would react.

"Xiaohua, you've been inside for like three days. And you forced me to close the curtains. Are you becoming a vampire?" Shancai complained, scrolling on her phone attentively.

Xiaohua closed her eyes, leaning back on the hard, cold couch.

Suddenly, she felt a tug on her hand.

"Let's go somewhere. It'll help you mentally and emotionally."

"Shancai~ Please don't make me."

"C'mon, Hua."

Xiaohua groaned in annoyance, letting her friend take her away. It didn't matter where she were to go, she'd still be internally displeased with herself, and no one else could change that.

——

"Shancai, what are we doing at a county fair?" Xiaohua asked in a somewhat annoyed tone.

"Don't be dumb, Xiaohua. What are you supposed to do at a county fair?"

"Psh, I don't know. Maybe you're supposed to sit on the ground crying because everyone hates you."

Shancai let out an exasperated sigh, dragging her hand to the ticket booth. "Have some fun, Hua."

Being at the fair somewhat reminded her of Jun. She didn't know what made it that way. Maybe it was because of the time with Dooyoung, but she hasn't had such flashbacks in the past few months that she'd been away.

It made her want to throw up. Not just for the fact that she missed him so much, but also for the fact that she told him that she'd save Yan, but never did.

In reality, she only made his death a hundred times worse.

Shancai dragged her into the teacups, Xiaohua groaned in annoyance.

"This is sooo bori- AH!"

The teacups began spinning at a rapid speed.

"Haha! Xiaohua, you like this? I requested for them to make it extra-fast!"

Xiaohua gripped tightly on the side of their teacup, screaming like a maniac. She never really enjoyed those types of things anyway.

"FENG SHANCAI, I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR THIS!!!"

Xiaohua panted, making her way over to the exit. And then, the tug on her hand had returned.

"We still have so many more places to go, Hua!"

Xiaohua panted between each fast step.

"Shancai- Slow- Down-"

Shancai laughed at her friends' panting. "You're so out of shape, Hua!"

Next, the bumper cars. And just when they began standing in line, that throw-up feeling had returned.

"Shancai, I don't think I can do this one." Xiaohua stated in a sad tone.

Shancai patted her back. "Why not? If you don't feel well, then just go super slow."

"I just-"

"Oh, we're at the front of the line! Let's go!"

Xiaohua groaned in annoyance as the little girl pushed her into a cart.

"You'll feel better after you actually have some fun." And with that, Shancai patted her back and hopped into her own cart.
