     [Project Makeover]

It's fair enough that I'm sitting in the corner, alone. Even Seonghee and Liang Wei are mad at me. Someone give me an award for the worst friend, girlfriend, and makeup artist ever. All 3 in 1.

——

I woke up, still on the bus. My eyes remained closed, still tired from everything that happened. But something was up. Was I leaning on someone? Just like those stupid fanfics? I wanted to open my eyes and find out who this mysterious person was, but I couldn't bring myself to. That's me, Li Xiaohua, the coward. I tried moving a bit to make the person leave, or "wake me up", even though I was already awake, or just, do something? But they didn't. Maybe they're sleeping?

     After 10 minutes of sitting there, my eyes keeping closed, I finally decided to get up. My curiosity was really urging me to find out who it was. I slowly moved off their shoulder, taking a glance at their face. Oh no. Should I be happy or worried? My face turned into a bright red color as I realized who it was. "God, Jun, why me?" I whispered to myself, running my fingers through my hair in frustration. Good thing that he was sleeping, but still. Does this mean he forgave me? Or is this because he felt bad that I was alone? Or maybe I was sleeping in a weird position?? Gosh, I am officially going crazy. ;_;

"Die, you!" I whispered in a loud tone while tapping my phone aggressively. "Wake up everyone, we're here." Our manager said. I looked to my side, debating on whether I should wake Jun up or not. God, Xiaohua! Make up your mind!

"Uhh, Jun? Wake up now." I said while tapping his head nervously. He groaned while moving his head a bit, signaling me to go? (or maybe just signaling that he was awake.) I quickly removed my hand, struggling to take my suitcase out from the overhead storage. "God, you're so short." His arms reached for the suitcase like it was nothing. I scoffed while grabbing it out of his hands. "Not even a thank you? You're really something, Xiaohua."

I couldn't help but smile as I walked back into the building. The bright red color had crept onto my face again. I swear, it's the way he talks that always gets me blushing. Oh no. Xiaohua! Don't tell me your fangirling again. I thought we were done with this a while ago! Why, why do I keep doing these things...?

I sat at my desk while tossing another chip into my mouth and finishing up a few clothing designs. "You still have to sign those papers." Seonghee finally spoke after giving me the silent treatment for the whole ride. I groaned while glancing at the pile. "My hand is still recovering from last time..." I frowned. Seonghee reached out her hand, grabbing half of the pile. She let out a sigh, "I guess I'll have to help you then." Thank you, Seonghee! I let out a big smile, wishing to hug her. "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!" I exclaimed. "Okay, okay. Hurry up so that we can finally go home."

"Stop it, Oppa~" The door opened, filling the room with a lovely feminine voice. I turned to look at the person who had entered. Why did my heart sink to the lowest point of my body? She was on his back. We never did that before. Only played games and held hands from time to time. We didn't even officially kiss as a couple. "Ah! Put me down now!" She yelled. "Okay, my beautiful Minhee." I cringed uncontrollably. I mean, I did try to hold it in as much as possible, but I couldn't. Why does it feel like I'm being set up here? And the glance that Minghao gave me after he said that. It hurt. I wanted to run out of the room, but my body told me not to.

     "Shall we get dinner?"

"No, I want to make it for you."

     "You're so sweet, oppa."

It sounds so familiar. That time when he offered to make me dinner, but I had already had some with the others. God, Xiaohua, don't you have a big appetite? Why couldn't you just say yes?

"Are you alright, Hua?" Seonghee blurted out. I could feel their stares upon me. "Totally fine." I said in sarcasm, even though I tried not to. "Why don't we get some sweet and sour chicken? You're on your last paper anyway." I nodded at that while aggressively scratching down my signature. I am furious.

——

"Xiao. Can I call you Xiao?" Seonghee asked while repeating the nickname. "It's cute." I replied, kicking a rock. "Okay, Xiao, we should give you a makeover." I looked at her with a confused look. "I just cut my hair? Don't tell me I have to cut it again." She laughed at that. "I'm talking about this." She pulled on my shirt while giving me a look. I frowned down at my stained white shirt. Well, I guess she's right. "And this." She pointed at my eyebags and dark circles. "What a way to roast me." I scoffed. "Hey! If you want to make him regret it-" She quickly covered her mouth. "What?"

"Well, I saw the way you looked at them. Don't you want to make him jealous?" She has a point.

"I've never thought about it before, but, I guess you're right."

"Okay! Project Makeover starts today!"

"But it's late! Can't we start tomorrow?"

Seonghee shook her head while dragging my hand somewhere. But the chicken!!! I've been craving it all night!

"Just uh, the face. You know, the dark circles, pimples, just, everything." Seonghee said to the doctor-looking person. Wait. Are they going to do surgery on my face? "Even this?" The doctor pointed at my bruise. I looked at Seonghee, shaking my head. Please no. "Yeah. That too." I inhaled sharply while the doctor told me to close my eyes. I guess he was inspecting my face. Gosh, I'm scared.

"Don't worry, Xiao! I've been here many times and they've done a great job at getting rid of all my acne." First, I felt something cold on my face. It was somewhat soothing, if I'm being honest. But then, it felt like a shock. It didn't hurt that much, but it was weird. God, Seonghee, what are you doing to me?!

"Get up, Xiao!! It's done!" Seonghee yelled in my ear, making me wake up from my wonderful nap. I groaned while scratching my head. "C'mon! We have so many other places to go~!" "WHAT?!" Seonghee, you're killing me!!!

She drove to about a billion different clothing stores, holding up different pieces of clothing to see what suited me. "You definitely fit the casual type of style..." she said while holding a pair of ripped jeans up and inspecting them. "Seonghee, it's getting late, don't you think?" I whined. "Okay, okay, let's pay for these and then we can go to your house." I looked at the basket she was holding, and man, there were a lot of clothes in there. How will I ever repay her?!

Seonghee searched through the clothes, picking an outfit for me to wear tomorrow. "Hey, where's that jacket Joshua and the other bought you for your birthday?" she yelled to me while I was in my room. "It's over here!" I yelled back. She has such a good sense of fashion. Thank the lord for Seonghee.

"This is what you'll wear tomorrow. You better not change it." Seonghee warned me. It was the same pair of ripped jeans, a white anime tee, and the black puffy jacket that the boys got me. The outfit was also accompanied with a black handbag and some gold hoop earrings. I agree, these types of clothes do suit me, especially now that I have short hair. Well done, Xiaohua.

"Of course, boss." I said sarcastically. Seonghee then proceeded to leave while I began washing my face and getting ready for bed. Woah, that dermatologist is really good! My pimples, dark circles, and most importantly, the bruise, were all gone! I admired my clear skin in the mirror. Do you think this will make him change his mind?
