*Skylar's POV*

When I got home that day from school I was exhausted and a little nervous. What if Mr. Mossol called my mom and told her about my test?

What is there to worry about, just blame it on Caleb. What if I past! I started to laugh as I walked into my house.

As if! The day I pass is the day I'd kiss someone. (Even a stranger!)
No way, what am I thinking, I wouldn't ever do that.

Eww!

And if Caleb made me pass. No way! That's a horrible thought.

Double eww!

I never kissed anyone to be honest. I never actually had feelings for anyone. Okay, I won't lie, I did have a crush a few years ago. I wish I never met him, he's the biggest jerk on the planet. Caleb is even better than him, and that's something.

Dropping my backpack onto the floor, I walked into the living room where my dad was sitting on the couch watching TV , as usual. I mean he has a job, he just works at home. So he has time to relax. Lucky him, but poor mom. She has to work at the local hospital because she a nurse.

"Skylar, I must warn you mom's OTPWYT." Dad whispered once I was near him. That's code for, 'Moms on the phone with your teacher'.

Oh, sugar cubes!

I wish my mother was more like my dad. He doesn't really care about my education as much as my mother. I mean he cares just a lot less than my mother. I know she's doing it for my own benefit but still.

I nodded and walked over to him. I took a seat beside him, sitting crossed-leg. He smiled at me shaking his head.

"Don't worry dear, she'll go easy on you, since Caleb, was meant to help you, right?" Dad smirked and I laughed silently.

"That was my plan, blame it on Caleb," I say with a proud smile. My dad rolled his eyes back to the Tv screen. I got up from the couch and headed to the kitchen to get a snack, but stopped when I heard things moving.

Mom's in there.

Food, or leaving so I don't have to talk to mom about my test. Maybe I should leave.

Food? Leave? Food? Leave? Food? I do have some gummy bears upstairs. I sighed dreamily........gummy bears. Did I forget to mention I love them, and there my absolute favorite candy in the whole entire universe. Well, there, now you know.

As I turn my heels to leave the kitchen doorway, my mother spoke.

"Uh-uh, not so fast."

Stupid gummy bears.
